You Probably Do Have A UTI. I Had One A Few Months Ago. You Probably Got It When You Were Masturbating, Whatever You Used Wasn't Clean. And The Bacteria From That Irritates You. I Suggest You Go See A Doctor Or Gynecologist. I Went Through That For Months And It Got So Bad I Started Bleeding When I Urinated. Don't Let It Get To That Point!

this is really interesting. i am on seasonale which is a birth control that makes me bleed only every 3 months, or as u said 4 times a year, and i have these symptoms, burning at the end of urination, constant burning sensation afterward, probably lasts anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours...seems less painful when i drink water, cranberry juice does nothing, i do have enometriosis, but i know this is unrelated...i had 2 uti tests and i had an std and bacterial infection test, all negative. I have been on 2 antibiotics, but still not killing the burn... i was given something that takes away symptoms for 24 hrs, and turns your pee orange, but u must drink plenty of water, and it doesnt change the outcome of tomorrow. I must say i have been on seasonale for about a year maybe closer to two. i have never experienced this pain and discomfort b4. and i have no other pain in my lower abdomine...just the burn, sometimes its a stronger burn then other times. i was given a xray and a ctscan last week both showed nothing. and this pain has been occuring for almost 2 weeks now. i could use some input myself bcuz my doctors seem to be clueless.

I'm 22 years old and I have exactly the same problems as butterflied412 except, I've never attempted sex. No abnormal blood discharge and I've not seen a doctor about this so, I don't have a definite answer. I've done some research and believe it could be something to do with the endometrium. My left-sided hip pain comes and goes every month or so and is not extremely painful, but annoying. My menstrual cycles have been heavy and abnormal in the not-too-distant past and recently within the past 6 months are normal. Vaginal discharge is increased and I get it almost all the time, except when I'm menstruating, and it is sometimes yellow tinged and thick (mostly just thick). I've been treated for yeast infections in the past, but the doctor never examines me anymore and just gives me the medicine when I tell her all this. I don't think it's a yeast infection. I have lately had increased sensitivity in my vaginal area (a feeling like it is throbbing). I seem to have the urge to urinate throughout the day, even if I don't need to really urinate and gets worse towards night time. I am drinking a normal amount of fluids, but not excessively (around 4-5 glasses a day).

I am having the same trouble.  I have a burning sensation in my vagina which gets worse when I urinate.  I also have difficulty urinating.  I have been to my gyno, but he can't find anything wrong and will not prescribe any medication.  I am taking ibuprofin which is helpful.  My symptoms have persisted for about 6 weeks now and I am miserable.  My Doc is sending me to a urologist to get evaluated for Cystitis.  In the meantime, I hope this passes on its own because I am miserable.

Hi there. My symptoms are also similar, however, I had just lost my virginity two days ago. I didn't experience any sort of significant pain during sex nor did I bleed, or feel anything tearing. But two days later, today, after I woke up from my afternoon nap, I felt a burning sensation and the urge to pee. Now, right after urination I experience a slight pain and burning sensation in my urethra opening. I've had this feeling before and it usually goes away after a day, but I'm worried of the possibility of it being a UTI or maybe an STD, though we used a condom properly. I'm still worried. Please any sort of information would help greatly. I am only 17 and would like to avoid seeing a doctor so to avoid having the losing my virginity discussion with my mother. I've read that cranberry juice would help it it's nothing too serious.. Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer me.

Hi I have been suffering with the same symptoms, the doctors cannot find anything wrong on test but keep giving me medication for yeast infections. Which helps but the symptoms come back pretty quick and the pain passing urine never goes. A friend of mine told me about a new diet which helps get rid of all fungal infections look up the candida diet this is very helpful look on the symptoms page yours all sound similar to those on the site. Hope this is helpful

Hello all, I came along this page while trying to figure out my issue as well which is similar to what is listed here. You get the frequent urge to pee then when you pee it is okay but towards the end there is burning which lasts a few seconds or a minute. I went to the doc immediately thinking it was a UTI which came back negative and it was also not an STD. Turns out it was E Coli. So some of you may want to check with your obgyn. This could be via thongs, not cleaning front to back, coming into contact with someone who did not wash their hands, food etc read it online. Hope this provides some relief to all of you or most.

Hey, I'm 17 years old and yeah I have had some very similar problems with a lot of you. A few months ago, I had a really bad UTI, well my doctors put me on an antibiotic that only helped when I was on it. When I stopped taking them it came back, only now it doesn't show up as a UTI. It won't be everyday, but when it happens, my vagina hurts really bad- inside and out. It burns when i pee and after. It always will feel uncomfortable too. I have taken pain pills to help when it is really bad and there was nothing to stop the pain. It used to b so bad i couldnt go to school i wouldnt be able to stand or concentrate. I went to the doctors and they looked around and did some swabs for tests but didn't really see anything. They are testing for std's just in case but I'm pretty positive it's not that. :/

hi everyone, after posting some time ago i am still waiting for the doctors to help. At the moment they think it might be endemetriosis, i hope this might help some of you and seeing the gynecologist is the only way to know really.
take care

i had the same problem. turns out, something was getting clogged down there, and i stopped drinking caffiene and eating spicy food.. it cleared it right up. my mom's a nurse and talked to one of the doctors she works with and he said this tends to happen in younger people because we drink a lot of pop/energy drinks and eat spicy food. stop eating those and drinking caffiene and i bet that will go away

Hi!
I have the same problems. I am 18, have had them for about 8 years and I wasn't sexually active when they started.
You might want to get checked for inflammatory problems. I have a few and when my doctor started to try and figure out what it was, they thought it could be that. I have been told to cut all caffeine (which surprising helps a lot)
DO NOT use Cranberry supplements . They made it 100 times worse for me, and i soon found out they are a MAJOR irritant for inflammation. I still suffer daily, at least once sometimes as many as 5 times a day. I pee a lot. I find that warm baths help a good bit. My doctor prescribed me a creme to put on that helps as long as its not a bad bad burn. It used to be a lot worse though. I also have recently found out that i have recurring cysts. So even on two Birth Controls, some parts of the month are worse. I can only have sex with a condom and lube. But it helps to know that I'm not alone. I have read on IC and sometimes i think it could be but then again, I'm not sure. I once read something about an uncommon disease called Vulvadina ? i think. It sounded more like what was wring and the diet for it was geared against high ACID content, and most high acid foods are also high inflammatory irritants. If your bladder is inflamed it will hurt when urinating. I know it isnt much, but i thought i would post my 2 cents worth and hope that it helps someone who is hurting and confused. Like i was, and sometimes still am. It might help to talk to your Dr about inflammation. Cause it is a medical problem, and it could be a major player in your problems too. Especially if you already have IBS or RA or something of the sort. My Arthritis doctor once told me that more times then not, RA is usually accompanied by another, larger inflammatory disease. You might try an elimination diet, or keep a pain diary. Im trying both right now and writing it all down seems to help my anxiety some. I hope you all get better soon and find stuff that helps! Maybe this did a little! Good luck in your search. :)
