I cried real tears laughing so hard from some of the hysterical descriptions of women going through exactly what I did. Thank you all for sharing! My doctors at Planned Parenthood did warn me of pretty much exactly what happened, and they were pretty explicit. But it was still incredibly gross when a huge clump of flesh fell out of me in the shower! Ugh. This may be TMI but I had an abortion years ago and the same kind of thing happened after that-- sporadic pieces of flesh surprising me in the shower-- why is it always the shower??! That was traumatic.
Anyway, the coffee grounds and vinegary smell won't go away-- it's been six days :( The "grounds" are less in number and intensity but they're still there, and always my pee looks like it's been tinted slightly brown. I don't have any pain, though I definitely had it the first time I had a cervical biopsy. In fact, I was so nervous after that first one that I cramped up really badly just minutes following it, and could barely put one foot in front of the other.
I didn't want to go through that again, so I took an anti-anxiety drug, Ativan, before I had my recent procedure, and I think it helped. I also took 800 mg of Ibuprofen, on the advice of my doctor. However, I strongly suggest you ask your own doctors what they recommend for you. Honestly, I would have taken Vicodin or something stronger if I'd had it. The procedure wasn't fun at all, and I suspect I may have to have it going forward if I get another abnormal pap.
My boyfriend is revolted by the smell, as am I, but can't be helped I guess. He wanted to go down on me but couldn't get within a country mile of my lady parts as recently as last night. Can't say I blame him-- I wouldn't either. I think I smell like a damn horseradish covered in vinegar, at least around the nether-regions. I want to have sex but I'm worried about getting an infection after reading some of the experiences on here, so I'm going to force myself to just wait. I'm very grateful for everyone being so honest and for this thread! I hope everyone's results showed you to be healthy. I'm a bit anxious as I wait for the results.

thanks for sharing even if it is TMI. When I saw mine's in the toilet I was really tempted to take it out and inspect it because I was trying to figure out what it was!!
I also didn't get any discharge at all so I told my doctor and they were all like "no discharge is fine" but I was like does that mean all that goo is stuck up there? Like doesn't it have to come out eventually? And I was right cause last night a similar substance to what you described came out of my vagina all at once. It was terrifying! I was also tempted to poke at it in the toilet but I was so grossed out I had to just stare at it for a while take a mental picture and then flush it. I really wish my doctor told me to expect this, it took me forever to fall asleep after this happened and I was really terrified. I thought I had expelled something I needed out of my body. I really appreciate everyone for sharing their stories including the gross details. My clump thing looked exactly as most people are describing here so I know for sure it was the same thing.
omg i'm so sorry it feel on your foot that must have been so dramatic. I'm so glad mine went straight into the toilet and didn't randomly fall out in the shower or like while i was sleeping or something. I really admire all the women who's came out onto the shower floor that must have been so scary.
It's not suppose to smell, that could be a sign you got a infection from the procedure
I just experienced the same thing... Super gross!
I have been bleeding non stop for 7 months now i had a colposcopy done 3 days ago and the day after i got it done i was also experiencing the same thing MASSIVE clumps of tissue with heaps of black/brownish dry looking clump attached it looked like wet paper towel, i freaked out so thanx for these dorums would love to know what anyones doctors have said if anyone followed it up. I still have to get a cystoscopy a hysteroscopy and a laparoscopy done :/ so fingers crossed this bleeding gets sorted :(
Thank you so much for this ladies! I woke up to pee this morning and as I wiped I saw this piece of wrinkly piece of brown and dark something of skin. I freaked out! It was on the toilet paper! I freaked out thinking I was pregnant and didn't know it because I thought it was a miscarriage! Luckily my dad is a doctor in another country so I called and asked him and he said it was normal after a coposcopy, gynecologists should really imform us that this could happen, not just that " you may have little bit of spotting for a day or two", this is clearly more than spotting and it would freak anyone out. Thank you guys for the reassurance! Women unite!
I'm not sure if what happened to me is the same thing I've been reading in your comments...
I had my procedure done on 7/11/16 and today is 7/16/16..
I had massive cramping, but not in the stomach, I couldn't sit the rest of the day or the day after because it hurt so bad. I've had no smell or any discharge of any kind since then.
Well, today (7/16/16) I just went pee and when I wiped I had a huge amount of gel like stuff on the toilet paper. It was a pretty good amount! It was brownish yellow color and had very very little coffee ground stuff, like literally 3-4 pieces. As gross as it sounds, I put my nose RIGHT up to it to see and there is almost no smell at all. It's VERY faint and I have an incredible sense of smell! I think there was two TINY spots of blood. But I'm really worried with it being Saturday and not seeing my doctor until Tuesday. She doesn't know about this discharge, the appt was already scheduled before my procedure. I don't think it is the same stuff you ladies are talking about. It doesn't look like skin at all. It looks like slime that is brownish yellow color.
Should I be worried?

I'm happy someone else started this... I was so scared that something had gone terribly wrong and my cervix was falling out of me or something ridiculous. I had two biopsies 3 days ago and started noticing actual flesh-grey clots coming out when I'd go to the bathroom, and this morning it was larger and I can feel more inside me. Will still call my doctor to follow up but I'm happy this doesn't seem as bad as I imagined and doesn't appear to be an emergency.
I just wanted to say out of all the post I read yours truely touched me for wishing the best for everyone thank you also ii had the same procedure three days ago the dr ended up going all the way in my uterus with out numing or anything and only a second warning it hurt like hell but everything I look up says they are suppose to numb you the tissue stuff came out and now server cramping
They don't use any anesthetic... just a fyi... it just hurts like a B!tc%
Me too holy s**t haha
No no odor
hi, I found alot of help from this thread but yours stood out the most. as I see it was a year ago so maybe you'll have some insight. I had my procedure, colposcopy, on Wednesday. it's now Sunday and I have the large chunks and gross odor too. Im worried is an infection. I was told itd look like coffee grounds and that I noticed but this is horrid. I feel better knowing the women who posted have been through this, however, could you update me on any info from your experience? thanks
