Hey im in the same situation as you guys i finished my period a week and a half ago and am now spottig, its probly alittle more than spotting but i went to the doctor and she seems to think it could be pelvic inflamitory disease and you need to get an antibiotic for that because it can lead to not beeing able to have children as it can work its way up into the fillopian tubes. Hope i could help?:-)
Hi Cassie,
Sorry no one answered. I havent been on much lately. I found out I am expecting a baby after trying for 5 years, and now I am trying to get ready for my hubby to deploy to Iraq in a month...he just got home 7 months ago.
Lets see. I think you mentioned in your post that you werent on birth control. Have you gone to take a pregnancy test yet? I would get a test to confirm. The only other thing that I could think of is that sometimes when someone starts a new birth control, it might have the possiblitly of causing some "throw offs" (as I call them) with your regular cycle.
Do you have any symptoms of breast tenderness, urinating alot, getting a bit on the tired side? Have you ever had spotting before, or is this something new for you? Get a test and find out.
OTHER POSTERS.... forgive me for not answering individually, just be sure to get a pregnancy test, and carefully and with common sense check up on all your options. Blessings to you all. I hope this helped.
Sometimes stresses, different or new medications/birth control can cause things to happen in body that we are not used to. Stress is a big factor often too. Possibly a new workout routine or a new eating plan. The best thing to do is to get a pregnancy test.
REMEMBER THOUGH..... sometimes even if the test comes out negative, it might be too early to tell. My test didnt come out positive until I was 8 weeks pregnant. Which is exactly what happened with my first pregnancy with my son.
Please keep us posted on what happens, ok?

I'm having some of the same symptoms as the rest of you. Just 3.5 weeks ago, I took Plan B and a week or so later, at my normal time, I had my cycle.
After the first sign of my cycle, there was a lot of brown spotting. It was blood, but no hemoglobin. This went on for about 3 to 4 days. Then I switched back to the pad from the tampon and the blood began to flow again heavier than ever before.
My questions are these: Could Plan B cause irregular and heavy bleeding? Could the use of tampons stop the regular flow of my period for the previous two months and just be extremely heavy this month?
I took the pregnancy test and it was negative. No signs or symptoms of pregnancy just feeling tired and cold.
