Unfortunately with weight loss you have to just take your time and exercise and watch your diet. Do you have an exercise plan or anything like that?

I had my tubes cut and burned at the end of Jan. 09. I have always been skinny my whole life (5'6 size 4/5 even after 2 kids in...'99 and '03). I always wished I was thicker but now 10 months later I am 150lbs and it all seems to be in my stomach and butt! My husband loves the "new me" and although I like being bigger, I'm starting to get scared because I feel like the weight train (and gain) is just getting started to take off and I won't be able to stop it or get it under control. I've always been basically lazy and never had to watch anythng I ate but I think it's time for a change before i go from skinny minnie to big mama!

I've also had this problem, I have 3 kids and after I had my 3rd I started losing weight like normal after I have a kid, then August of '08 I went and had my tubal ligation done and ever since then I have gained an insane amount of weight, I went from a size 7 to a size 16 and I just can't seem to drop more than 5 lbs. This is very frustrating. I've always had high metabolism and good energy levels but ever since the ligation everything has gone topsy turvy. :'(

Hi I am 25 and had a tubal done while having a c section 2 and half years ago. I had a daughter in 2006 and gained over 100 pounds. I weighed about 105 when I got pregnant with her and delivered at 211. I had preclampsia. I lost most of the wieight and when she was 17 months old I got pregnant again and weighed 125. I delivered my son weighing at exactly 200 pounds and because I had such horrible pregnancy's my husband and I decided that during the c section I would have my tubes tied. I have worked so hard to get the weight off. I was doing okay loosing the weight now for the past year I have felt such a difference. I am not doing anything different if anything Im working out more and gaining weight like crazy. I have gained 25 pounds in a year and CANNOT get it off.l I was wearing a sice 4 , then a 6 and my 6's NOW do not fit. I know exactly what you mean about not wanting to go anywhere or see anyone. I have hiding, I am a stay at home mom and i rarely eat much at all.... I just recently got a job and I can't even look in the mirror at work ot even at home.... I feel that I have been hiding long enough and talk about getting my tubes reveresed!

It has been 18 months since my 4th child and having my tubal ligation. I have stuggled with my weight since. If I eat healthy, tracking EVERY calorie I eat and EVERY calorie I burn in exercise I have only been able to lose 1-2 pounds per month. If I take one or two days vacation from tracking my food, I put it right back on. VERY FRUSTRATED! My doctor is also baffled. I also have other symptoms that I have only had while I was pregnant which leads me to link all this to my tubal ligation. I also, would love help in losing (rather than gaining) this weight. I cannot continue this strick diet every day and very near giving up. (I have gained 26 pds since the tubal, and have lost nothing.)

i am 22, i had my tubes tied after my 2nd child. i was able to lose weight pretty easily after my first child and keep it off ..eating more than i do now. I maintained around 115 ilbs but now can't seem to get below 150. it's making me pretty crazy because i watch what i eat and exercise ...which would have givin me results in the past prior to my surgery. i just hope to find a herb or a diet or exercise that beneifits women with post-tubal syndrome weight gain. i wish i could undo my surgery but can not afford the $5000 and some they want to do it. so i guess i'll have to find a more practical way of dealing with this.

I had a tubal ligation Aug. 2008 , in the begining I did not notice any weight gain , until about a year later. I have always been petite until now!!! I have gained an easy 5 more pounds in just the past couple weeks , on top of what I have already gained, it is so rapid. I randomly get bloated no matter what time of the month it is. I am so frustrated I eat less now than I ever have , when I was thin I could eat and not gain weight 2 weeks after giving birth right back into size 1 and 3. I try to excersie eat better ( and I am even a vegetarian) nothing seems to make a difference. What happen to my flat stomach??? what happen to my thighs??? I have always been a happy perky person untill now , I get depressed about the weight it makes me moody at times. I am so glad I am not alone , I thought I was going crazy , I have felt like I have nobody to talk to about this until now. Does anyone know any good effective way to lose this weight?
I suppose I am partly to blame i did not research before surgery , my doctor gave me pamphlets , but the symptoms I experience ( also very painfull cramping most always and than some) where not listed and doctor said symptoms generally go away with in 6 months , I just trusted the information I received and did not research further , shame on me!!!

I'm so happy to know that I am not alone. I had the procedure done in December of 2008 after I had my son. I was already in the process of losing the baby pounds from my pregnancy with my daughter when I got pregnant with my son. For the first six months after the procedure, I didn't notice anything strange but afterwards I started having extreme PMS symptoms and rapid weight gain. I was literally starving myself but the pounds just kept piling up in my mid-section. It was like one day I put on my jeans and they were actually a little too loose but the next week they fit just right and by the next, they were a bit snug. I knew it couldn't just all be in my head. I just need to know how I can get rid of all these pounds and get back to not having a blob of a waistline.

My wife & I have just decided to start researching this topic & just stumbled on this forum. She had her tubes tied after having our 3rd baby & has been overweight ever since, about 7 years. She weighed about 130 before the 1st baby & not much more than that between babies until the TL. Now she's close to 190 or so, and has not been able to lose any significant weight.

The thing that's hard to believe is that she eats healthy and plays strenuous tennis almost every day & usually for multiple hours a day. She's suspected for some time that the TL has been the cause and I can't think of anything else. Too coincidental. Also, she is from a large family and none of them is overweight. In fact, most of them are in freakishly good shape. I think now I'm leaning towards looking into a reversal, and she wants to also. We appreciate any further feedback.

I had my TL a week ago and gained 10 lbs. by the day after surgery. I have managed to lose 5 of those lbs. in the last week, but it hasn't been easy. Makes me wonder???? :?

Has anyone experienced WEIGHT GAIN after getting their tubes tied???? HELP!

I didn't gain much weight throughout my pregancy, after I had the baby I had a tubal ligation and since then I have gained ALOT of weight.

Don't feel alone I am 28 yrs old gave birth to my fourth child 6/09 and had a tubal 9/09 since my tubal-ligation i gained nearly fifty pounds and all of its around my mid section. Not to mention depression, pain in my legs, migraines and always seemed to be stressed. Before my tubal my dr told me there were no side effects about my tubal and my body will jump back to normal well she lied its been eight months since my tubal and i am still struggling. A couple of nurses suggested getting my hormone leval tested , and right now i am willingto try anything.
