Gas is the culprit as I mentioned months ago!....Your large intestines run across that area on both sides of your body, you can try to massage the gas up or down, try burping out the gas or take a gas relief over the counter medication to see if that does the trick, if it does then you know it is gas.
If that is the case either avoid gassy foods or belch as often as you can or try not to swallow as much air as you normally do when you eat.
Other causes for gas build up are Sodas, any carbonated drink will create gas, Gum is a big one because you swallow a lot of air when you chew..
I recommend anyone with this issue googles what foods cause gas and eat less or avoid them all together, sodas you have to stop now, try what I recommended above, Gas Gone or any over the counter product which reduces gas.
It is as easy as that. That will be $10 please :)

Read my comments below, it is gas, as simple as that.

I am sorry Dr.Tariq, you made it too complicated, the simple answer is a build up of gas, read my comment about gas. Medicine does not always have to be so damn complicated ( in all due respect).
I commented as a guest 6/18/2016, this is the first time I was prompted to type my email.
Hope everyone finds out this is a simple fix, if you find that the problem is not gas after giving it your best shot then by all means read Dr.Tariq's diagnosis's and ask your doctor to test you for some or all of the issues he listed.
Best of luck, it is easier than you think

I'm a 25 year old male. 6'3" 215lbs possibly the best shape of my life? And I feel this flutter on my left upper abdomen just below my rib cage.. Its subtle but its there and very noticeable and at the wrong angle it can come with a little pain. (Mostly while laying down on my back) anybody have any ideas? We can't all be dying.. Maybe our body having a reaction to digesting a certain food? Idk but I wish it would stop.

I have replied to this as a "guest" quite a few times above, it has to do with gas. I also mentioned Dr.Tariq in one of the replies, so all the messages stating it is a problem with gas are mine. I am almost 100% sure that is the case. so read all my messages, I mention ways to get rid of it when it bothers you.

If you get pregnant with an iud you wouldn't be able to continue a viable pregnancy anyway. It can cause infertility and damage the fetus

I never had this feeling before I had my ce section but it scares me bc it only happen when lay down to go to bed. I had a very bad labor and delivery. I pushed to days and finally decided for a ce section and later found out I ripped much further on the right side during my Ce section. But the flutters only happen when I'm laying down. I thought something was seriously wrong with me. I feel alot better knowing I'm not the only one suffering with this.
