Sensory nerve damage
i heave the same sensation. The size of a grapefruit. at first thought it was wet. then cold metal touching me. But more cold, frozen numb. on my right butt check above an area that I started getting stabbing sharp pain in . Both come and go. Knock the wind out of me with the sharp strike. Had major back surgery last year. Pain started in Nov, cold spot just a couple weeks. The pain was thought to be my screws moving in and out, but now this?
Not a Doctor, experienced this for years. B-12 for Me!
Impossible to get herpes if you aren't sexually active.
I too am getting this with creepy crawly feeling over head and feet. with body weakness and sharp pains in head.. which has all the symptoms of Ms
To Dr.Jay I jave had thos sensation for years.First are you on any meds that would invole the brain.Such as psychotropic drugs. There are 100s. like Zoloft Paxil and Wellbutrin or any narcotics.Your brain and body has 1000s of receptors .These receptors send signals to parts of our body.I did reasearch on this and was trying to understand why 90% of this took place in the mid to outer section like upper thighs around the groin area.Im now doing studies with a Endocrinologist. To see if it plays a y role in it.The answer is that of what a Neurologists told me about the receptors sending signals to make you feel that cold sensation.Ask yourself these ?s Do I urinate enough and also are you constipated often.

I have been experiencing the very same thing and yes I have to keep checking to see if I'm wet. Weird
I know exactly what you are feeling. I've had this going on 8 years now and I'm in mid 70's. From what I'v learned this is peripheral nephropathy. I positively hate this feeling, but primary doctor and 3 that's THREE neurologist's have said nothing can be done. Not the answer I wanted to hear.
There are musculocutaneous nerve sensations that will cause this. More common after exercise. Less likely to be related to STDs.
Hi... you described the exact symptoms that you are experiencing.. for about 6 months now i too have had a cold icy wet feeling in my hips. I havent been to the drs either so have no clue what it could be... hopefully someone else here will be able to shine some light as to the cause.. my thoughts as a nurse as it neurogenic in origin.. possibly from lumbar spine degeneration leading to sciatic type sensations... im going to do some thorough research and talk to colleagues.. see what I come up with...
So glad I read this. I do have lumbar spine problems and am waiting for yet more spinal surgery to correct cockup in the past. It makes absolute sense that nerve damage can cause this cold wet feeling as I do have major nerve damage. Hope this helps other people who are striving to find an answer.
Was at hospital for this last night with this and was told it is a nerve disorder
I had major back surgery in 2015, never had cold weird chills until about a year ago. My back Doctor isn't concerned because they don't hurt. They are all over my body, now waking me up. B12 is fine, Vitamin D is fine, my Thyroid is fine, my Doctor has no idea why I'm getting them, and they are getting more intense. From what I'm reading it could be a number of thing's, from MS to Lyme Disease!!! Good luck to you, I hope you feel better soon.
I have feeling water is running thru my body but skin is dry. I feel this is a neuo problem but my dr. Doesnt know how to doctor it. Its driving me crazy. I am 89 years old
Search “Arachnoiditis”. One of the symptoms are sensations that may feel like insects crawling on the skin or water trickling down the leg.
