What are the effects of the uterus' rejection of a copper IUD leading to an immediate removal?

Definitely be careful around IUDs. They have been known to cause perforation of the uterus, pelvic inflammatory disease, and ectopic pregnancies. It can also move from the uterus and embed in the uterine wall or abdomen. The device can also migrate to the abdominal cavity, pelvis, bladder, or blood vessels and this can cause pain, infection, and damage to intestines and nearby organs. If something serious is going on with you, go see a doctor and definitely get your IUD removed.
