I too have intense pressure, sometimes ringing, and buzzing. The med stop doctor put me on strong antibiotics for what i'm not sure. She saw nothing in my ear but i feel like i have a tumor or something pressing on my nerve. It does make you feel insane, especially when nothing satisfies it.I'm extremely irritable, and i'm not usually like this.I did get off Welbutrin about six weeks ago, and ringing in the ears was a side effect of withdrawal so i thought maybe this has something to do with it.Blowing my nose and holding my breath does nothing for me. I've take Zyrtec and Singulair ,Nasonex, Alkazeltzer cold ,Nyquil, and Theraflu...I need relief...my kids need me.

anything new? i have silent gerd, i saw an ENT for a lump in my throat feeling and was put on protonix 6 weeks ago. the lump is nearly gone, but my left ear is blocked now. just out of the blue, fine one second, blocked the next. it's been 3 days! I saw the ENT today and everything looks fine, he "doesn't know what is wrong" with me, no wax, nothing abnormal. I go in tomorrow morning for a hearing test, which I know I will pass as I can still hear, and passed his vibrating test perfectly. I have bounced around the web trying to find other people with silent gerd and ear blockage, it seems to fit.

I have a strange "pressure" popping in my right ear for three months now. Almost like I feel my heart beating in my ear. Very random, almost always when I feel a bit of tension, but my blood pressure is fine. Does not last too long, sometimes seconds, sometimes minutes. My doctors said exactly what your doctors said. Very concerning.

I have been experiencing this same thing for about 2 months. Went to clinic and to ENT doctor. Put me on prednisone, allergy medicine, and nose spray. He said I have no infection, no fluid, no pain, no wax build up. Just pressure as you mentioned that comes and goes. I asked him where this came from as I have not been sick or have not had sinus infection, etc. He believes it is allergies...although I usually don't have allergies and have no other symptoms. It's like I'm in an airplane with that awful pressure feeling in my ear. I feel the same as you do about taking all this medicine when I don't feel sick. He said to use nose spray 2 times a day, allergy medicine during day. I take 1 benadryl to get some sleep at night. I'm wondering how long this is going to last and what else I can do to get some relief. Oh yeah...trying to hear out of that ear using my cell phone is very difficult...when that pressured is on. (comes & goes all day) Sure wish there was something we could do to help. (Although I feel very blessed that this is the only medical problem I am experiencing right now. There are so many people struggling with much more severe, serious issues.)
