I had a whole Tilapia fish 2 days ago, as well as 2 full tablespoons of peanut butter (from the spoon, not on bread). So I guess I know where this problem came from... 2 days, still hasn't gone away. I've decided to stop eating anything oily until it goes away. It also happened to me about a year ago from eating butterfish, which was really escolar.

Yeah, I usually eat about 35% DV of fats, maybe it wasn't a very good idea to suddenly jump to 60% DV in one day...

I started experiencing the orange oily stools about a year ago. I've been going from Dr to Dr, specialist to specialist. The only thing that shows up funny is my liver. I took Hot Rox (similar to Hydroxycut and Alli) before the weird symptoms began. I remember when I was on Hot Rox, if I ate nuts, I would get sluggish, go to the bathroom, then feel better, no oily substance. Now my body reacts wildly to fats. I don't touch mixed nuts because the orange oil is just plain uncomfortable! Oh I also drink regularly on the weekends.

Has anyone else else found issues with their liver? Alli users, get off the stuff. You won't know about the liver issues until the symptoms start. My gastro pointed it out. Now I am not drinking, not eating many fats and not on supplements. Can't wait to figure this out!

Hi,

I experienced the same thing yesterday and I thought I'm gonna die. I found some orange drops everytime I pass gass in the toilet bowl and I thought it was really weird. I was distracted the whole time while I was at work.

I've eaten a pack of nuts a day ago and that night, I've also eaten a lot of buttered shrimp. Good thing I've read this blog. Is that the cause of this or should I have a check-up?

i also have just had a similar problem with the orange oil in my stool but it was not a couple of drops like everyone else has described and was also accompanied with blood. im pretty bugged out but i did have flounder and tilapia for dinner the other night with crab meat on top, the crab seemed very oily but i have had both fish before with no problems ever. my lower back is really bothering me and my stomach (the stomach pain feels like the pain you would get from being gassy, kinda bloated) im a male 28 and really wish their was a definitive answer to what this was...

I think it might really be the cashews! I have had a ton in the past two days and this just happened to me for the first time ever. That can't be a coincidence.

This also just happened to me. ,I passed gas and an oily discharged gushed out. I have been low craning, an consuming an obscene amount of cashews in the last several week. I am inclined to think this is the root of my orange discharge. Glad I found this thread.

Thanks guys for these responses.  I didn't know what the heck was going on with me.  From all the postings, I am taking it as if eating too many nuts or too much fish is the #1 thing responsible for these oily droplets.  Needless to say I haven't had any of those, but I have started to take fish oil vitamins in an attempt to get healthy.  Sad to say, that bottle is going in the garbage.  It is not cool watching a funny movie, letting out gas and feeling this oilyness between my cheeks.  Good luck for everyone else that has this problem.  I hope mines clears up soon.

Yes, that explains the orange oily fluid. I ate butterfish!

I had a similar experience with orange oil droplets in my stool. I have come to the conclusion it was from the food I had eaten yesterday. The culprit was none other than KFC. Being a chicken-lover, I was hankering from some good, ole fried chicken. Now, the KFC does not taste like it did 10 or so years ago, and I suspect they are cooking it in some other medium like Olestra, rather than peanut or some other natural oil. Therefore, I will probably be more careful with the restaurants in which I choose to eat.

Hi had the same thing as most of you happening to me yesterday (monday evening), after eating fish on sunday evening.

I was quite disturbed after seeing a yellow-orange, oily liquid in my underwear.

I have a strong urge to go to the toilet now but every time there's only this strange orange-yellow (sometimes brown) liquid.

Most important questions from my part:

1) How long did this last for most of you?

2) What's the best thing to eat to cure this? Stay away from fat? Eat rice and fruit?

I would be really grateful for your help!
