What do guys think about this?(labia minora)

I think that this forum is overlooking the more obvious problem women with large or assymetrical labia often have; chronic discomfort. I think that every vulva is equally lovely and agree that there are men who find every type of form to be beautiful. If the problem is simply cosmetic, I would definitely hesitate to have surgery.

However, if the labia interfere in sexual activity, sitting for extended periods or exercise, or make sports and certain clothing impossible, how could anyone judge a woman for having this surgery? I have a long-term boyfriend who, like most men sounding off on this topic, doesn't care about the appearance of my vulva (Usually men are just thrilled to get in your pants!).

I have a healthy self-image but could not come to terms with the discomfort caused by my labia. With the support of my partner, I decided to have the surgery so that my external genitalia would no longer stop me from working out comfortably and other activities that I enjoy. I am still healing but am thrilled with my result.

I have never had surgery before but my recovery was surprisingly easy; I didn't even use the prescribed pain medication as it made me nauseous.

Despite my satisfaction, I do not encourage the procedure. LABIAPLASTY IS PERMANENT! I would caution any possible patient to do copious research, look at multiple results of any doctor's work, ask for references, go on multiple consultations, and refuse to settle. I researched for over a year before making my decision. I chose to see the best (and most expensive) doctor in Beverly Hills, but it was worth an extra couple of thousand dollars and I have no regrets.

I really don't know where this female obsession with 'faulty' labia comes from. There are populations of men out there that think a flat p***y is less than desirable, and that large labia minora are to die for! Go girl - enjoy what nature has given you. Flaunt it and use it to your advantage. Good luck. Find a man that is turned on by them and have a good time. :-D

honestly, from descriptions from past boyfriends or other vaginas i've seen, ours isn't so horrible!

i HATED mine not only because it looks lopsided, one is more 'stretchy' than the other. It still ticks me off now and again, and i'll end up examining over and over.

bottom line is, my boyfriend doesn't care and hardly notices. Vaginas aren't meant to be 100% symmetrical, just like the rest of people's bodies. I accept it. If I were you, i'd accept it as well.

and 9 times out of 10, you're probably overreacting. It's probably not that bad at all. I did the same thing. It's honestly barely noticeable.

my right labia minora is bigger than the other and kinda hangs out a bit, and I didn't even know it was unusual, I just figured that that's the way vaginas are supposed to look! If it got in the way of things though, i would consider surgery, but if it's just cosmetic, there's nothing wrong with lopsided labias!

hey guys im getting the operation done for my labia in a week. Have any of you got any advice because im so scared :-( Also i cant believe the price, it costs £3000 just to take a bit of excess skin off. Lets hope its worth it.

it's really hard to have the confidence to look past that sort of thing though..

Guys don't even realize any difference, I meet a girl that didn't have any labia, and I didn't realized it until she told me some 6 years later. I was more interested in our overall satisfaction.

this is in reply to the person who was all for the surgery. Medical data may say there is no sensation there but I personally disagree. I do have sensation there so I would not chop 'em off.

Good luck!!! My wife has beautiful long labia and they are still lovely today. I have never heard her moan of any discomfort and certainly their removal would be a sad day for us.

She likes to show them to me when we are out and often wears crotchless knickers to display them discretely to me....and only to me.

I have lopsided labia and one (the bigger one) causes me discomfort and pain on a daily basis because it 'catches' on my underwear. I want to fix it because it is so annoying and painful but I'm honestly scared of surgery. Does anyone who has been through the same thing have any comments or advice?

HI out there.... I am 28 and have struggled with this issue from the day I hit puberty (at 10!!)... In fact, friends of mine made up a song about it... "Jessie's got a blobby fanny" it went, because theirs all looked the same and mine was different. I have not had many sexual partners due to this as I have been embarrassed about how my vagina looks, but after reading this forum I realised I'm not the only one out there with this body issue. The problem is there is this idea of what a vagina should look like based on what is seen in porn films... and it shouldnt. Guys out there need to realise that their penises are all different too.. some may be small and fat, long and thin, circumsised or not.... we women dont seem to make a federal case out of it and guys never say anything about it.. Why you ask? 90% dont care..... if your guys says anything to you about your labia comparing it to girls he's been with in the past, maybe you should do the same, compare them to your previous experience... the shoe will be on the other foot then!! Girls, we need to stick together and know that we are norml, and only have extra to give... When I masterbate its wonderful, my labia opens up like a butterfly and I really get amazing pleasure! Pronounced or not, labia minora are exquisitely beautiful, please don't change what you have for cosmetic purposes alone.

Please please Ladies do not regard yourself as a freak or whatever ! i am a man who has had many women in the past. My wife has very large labia minor, she too was ashamed of her anatomy, I can assure you from my experience this phenomena is what sets you above the rest!

I basically worship the ground she walks on due to this.
