what happens if you take suboxone, then take oxycontin a little later the same day?

Whomever is prescribing the Suboxone will tell you exactly how long. It depends on you/norco amt. etc.

I wasn't taking these drugs to get high after a back operation but I was still taking them long after I needed them. My concern now is if I get into a car accident or something awful happens where I need to be sedated and medicated how will that be obstructed by the suboxone? I heard it can interfere ALOT and that scares me. My doctor said if I was going to have a 3rd surgery I'd have to wean off of it in order to be anesthetized.

With that being said, how long does it take to get off Suboxone? I'm scared to death to stop, but I want to, I was in horrible pain when I started detoxing at home but once I got to the center I was in insurmountable pain and anxiety was off the chart. SOMEONE TELL ME THE TRUTH!! How am I going to feel (I know everyone's different) but how is someone who's had a low tolerance for drugs feel when they stopped?

I have to say one thing, I know life can suck pretty bad, what I don't understand is playing pharmacist when you know your body might retaliate and these mulit-users end up dead?

You've only got one life, you don't hit the rewind button when you F-up and kill yourself just for the sake of getting high. Find the help you need to live a cleaner, safer life.........YOU DESERVE IT! I'm scared to death of dying and I wouldn't mix 1/2 of these drugs together and expect to wake up in the morning or be alive 6hrs later. Think about what your doing to your body???? Someone loves you and can't live without you, don't be selfish, find another way to live happily.........God Bless!!

Quick and simple.... i was taking at least 10-15 30s a day, decided it was time to stop so my pain doctor put me on suboxone. He told me to wait until i started to go into withdrawals before taking it. I asked him do i have to be really sick or when i start to get the cold sweats. He told me i didnt have to wait until i was too bad so that is what i did......20 mins goes by after it dissolves i go into precipitated withdrawls. I am not lying i thought i was going to have to go to the hospital... I had to take 3 showers within 45 mins because of cold sweats to then just make a bath and laid in there...endedup taking more suboxone an hour or so later started to feel a little bit better...idk i will never experience this again, trust me i do not want to...i would say wait as longggg as possible before u pop the subox trustt me ull thank me later

thats funny because i take 8 mil subs all day and can take 80mil oxys 4 times a day and still get high....so learn ur facts you can still get high when on both you just need more to do it.... o.O

you are all assholes i am precribed 8mg of suboxone a day and i take it everyday and i do oxy's whenever i feel like it ...i just got prescribed the subs so when i dont have the money to buy oc's i dont have to go threw wd's ....i take a sub and then find some oc's like an hour later and i still get high off them ...and i know what im talking about i was taking 250mg of oxycodone evderyday for 2 years and then switched to subs like a month ago b/c i ran into money problems on the oc's cuz there so damn expensive on the street down hea in Florida...if i have the money i buy oc's and take them while on my suboxone ...never ran into any problems..... ill wake up in the morning , take an oc then put half a sub under my touge then do more oc an hour after that..... no withdrawls and i get high off the oc's
and as for taking anti-anxiety meds such as xanax while on suboxone ...that is fine too im prescribed xanax because i have major panic attacks it is safe to take with my subs
its all mind control the docs and people want to scare you so you dont do oxys while on subs because subs are ment for the purpose of treating addiction not just somthing you can take when u dont feel like going threw wd's...
im practically a pharmacist im in school right now for pharmacy plus ive tried like every pill you can think of so you can trust what i say
i know my sh*t i just happened to get addicted to oxys because they make u feel so damn good!

Hi, i am glad there are some experienced suboxone and opioid users out there. i have been taking tabs for a long time, and know a lot about certain opioids. I even stopped taking tabs with almost no problems. a friend gave me a subone to try and honestly it does nothing to me. the first day it just gave me energy, which was kinda cool. it was different. i took 5 tabs bout 30 minutes ago and i was scared b/c i am new to suboxone. I am not going to keep taking it, i am going to give it back to my friend. I am/was just scared that i would have some kind of reacction with the two drugs in my system. i feel bettter now that i have read that i am not going to go into violent withdrawls. i have never had violent, severe, moderate,or mild withdrawls. i work in the medical field and have to see and deal and help people everyday who are coming off lortabs, oxys, etc...
i know a lot about suboxone b/c i work in the medical field but now that i have tried it i can now deal with people with a little more personal experience and help them. i hope this helps someone. Everyones posts really helped me! thank you for everyone who wrote a post about their experiences!! :-)
i can say that sub did nothing for me, even though it has helped sooooo many people.

WTF! All of you a=holes taking subs know you are taking them to save money and nothing more. taking subs and oxys together does nothing for you except wast money. if your serious, go to the effin doctor. and the answer to most of the questions is
It depends on how much suboxone you take and how often and how long you have been on them. If you have been on them for one month you would have to wait about three days to be able to get high again. if you were on them for three days you could be getting high in 24 hours. and if you have been taking subs for 3 days and want to get high, you are one of the people who really doesnt want to get clean.
GO TO THE DOC period

Wait 24-48 hours after your last sub dose and you'll at least get partially high.

:-S The opiate blocker gets out of your system pretty quick 8-10 hrs. The OC will work if you been off the subs for 24

i completely agree with you im goin through a bad divorce and yes was addicted to oxy but ave been doign subs for awhile now honestly i dont get them prescribed but i really dont wana do oxys at all but im starting to panic cause i have no more subs right now and cant find any im scared to death to take an oxy again but im more afraid of withdrawls tahts the worse feeling ive ever had i my life and really iam scared to death of it which is why i was thinking of saying screw it and take an oxy at least to feel better i dont wana get high anymore so i dont care bout that i jyst dont wana be sick anymore either even tho withdraws from subs are way less severe than oxy but its more psychological for me well at least im pretty sure i really wish i never woulda started and i just wana be normal agin this sux

It so true no one needs negative advice. But I have a similar question. I'm on 8 mg 3 time daily of suboxone and I'm so tired and un motivated do you think I'm takeing to much? Also of I were to want to use oxy one day and just don't take my subs for the day will I be ok and able to.start back on the subs the next day or will I need to do the whole 24 hr thing again?

>>>If you have not tried Sub's yet, you need to split the 8mil in 4 pieces, then take either a quarter under your tongue, do not talk, swallow or anything for like 10-15min after it completely dissolves (total 15-20min). OR crush the quarter into fine powder and snort half of the quarter and try not to swallow the drip. Only do this if you do not have opiates in your system.

People with no opiate tolerance experience the best opiate buzz from Sub's. I been on Suboxone and recently switched to Subutex (without that nasty naloxone sh*t) and it's alot better.

The "opiate blocker" or Buprenorphine, does not leave your system in 8-10 hours. It has a ~37 hour half-life. This means if I took 8mg of suboxone at 7am, 37 hours later, 4mg would remain in my system. 37 hours from then, 2mg remain. and so on...

if you do not beleive me, do some research ;)



So if you took oxy 24hours after an 8mg dose, you may feel a little something, or you may not. Depends what your tolerance is and how long you been taking suboxone, dose...
