Hello Ladies, I have had the same issues I am 45 my irregular periods started when I was about 23 years old.
I would miss a period for sometimes as long as a year but when my period would arrive it would come down hard.I would go to the doctor and was always told to get on birth control pills so it would regulate the period but when i wanted to stop the birth control it would be a vicious cycle no period then bam! down came the rain and it would not stop I had bled for 3 months straight I was very weak I went to the doctor and was admitted to the hospital for a blood transfusion years later when i had better medical insurance i had an episode with my period went to the doctor. Doctor did a pap my pap came back abnormal she called me into the office and said this is whats wrong with you, you have bad red blood cells on your uterus and this is what we need to do to fix it you need a leek procedure wich is scrapping of the uterine walls a (D&C) for lack of a better word I had the leek procedure and went back for my check up and was glad to hear that i had grew new good red blood cells this was October of 2002 I can report today every since my procedure I can report that I have had a normal period every month with the exception of the 9 months between Febuary 2006 to November of 2006 when I had my miracle baby at the age of 40 and from that day continue to have my annuals and still can report normal periods in 2012 the doctor did advise if i would have ignored this issue that it could have turned into cancer so ladies please stay stedfast and ask all the questions and stay in the doctors office and make them give you an answer and stop sugar coating and putting a band-aid on the issue
i also experience skipping of my menstrual flow now for almost 3 mos, what would be the possible reasons for this? and when I have my period it takes 2 weeks before it stop...hope someone might help the possible reasons
Thats good to know that you have taken care of this situation, however, there are several things that I am concerned about with my own body. I have been to the doctors several times and none of them have helped me fix my situation. They always recommend the pill.. but like you, it never fixed me afterwards which made me think it could be something else. I don't have cramps often But find myself going through boxes of tampons on a regular. Never heavy thats mild or rare I should say. But to ask you, What are the symptoms in which you were having? I never seem to stop bleeding. I bleed for months at a time. I'm scared to now more about it.
I started my period when I was 10 years old, and I am now 19, almost 20. I was diagnosed with Diabetes on January 18, 2013, and I've had three periods since. I'm on my period right now, and I'm going on two weeks. I usually only last for 5-8 days, so I'm a bit concerned, but I noticed that my first period of the new year was great after the first day. I drank a full gallon of 2% milk and a half gallon of Skim milk within 12 hours. :O My doctor said it was unhealthy, but I didn't crave any food and I actually had a pretty normal week. I wasn't overeating, I wasn't hungry at all.
i understand your pain ....i am not a doctor nor nurse nor person that has any medical certificate....but i do have my experience. Dont be afraid to get a second or even third opinion.....your one life you have to live here on this earth is worth another opinion. I too have had the same problems and have been through two miscarriages at the same time. Now i am 30 years old no kids and no husband...but no ex husbands...lol. I have a wonderful boyfriend who supports my me. there are lots of things that can aid u ,,,,drink lots of water or foods that retain water....stay away from the fried foods and artificial sweetners and candy,,,,,maintain regular exercise....i know its hard with all the bleeding, and try to remain stress free ...we all know that this is a no no. Of course i forgot any non recreational drug usage can be a factor along with drinking since you are bleeding so much we wouldnt wanna thin your blood out anymore no would we.....i am anemic so its the worst for me.,,,,and dont be afraid to try fish all types, they are good for you and high in iron...GOOD LUCK
hi, i have the same problem and having my period for over a month now,. :( from lite to heavy then heavy to lt didnt stop since then..
So glad I came across your post. I have been on Lindora for almost three weeks now and have been getting lipotropic injections as well as following the diet. Today is day 7 of my period and it is really not like me to go this long. I am 50 so I'm sure it's hormonal. I have also been diagnosed with small fibroid so that may be a contributing factor as well. I am going to call the doctor today to see if I should do something different but I definitely don't want to stop the program.
i am 41 years old. my periods always been accurate and normal until march this year. It comes a little and in dark brown color so i thuoght it was no big deal. then on april it comes a little bit normal for 5 days and then i was travelling to another country and the spotting started. Its not heavy and no pain. I was so worried and in stressed. The spotting lasting for few weeks.
I went for gynaecology today i was so scared and nervous but i am happy i did. At least i wont be suferring anymore and creating more stress for myself. I did an ultrasound test and its all good. The problem is my estrogen level is too high so the blood from last period stay and it comes out a little everyday. Doc fives me some hormone pills butnot birth control pills for ten days. Hope my period will get back to normal. I am so glad that its not fibroid or polyps but even its we have nothing to be afear of as long as its not cancerous.
So go consult a gynae and stop worrying.
