Since no relationship is perfect, what do you hate about running?

Me: I hate that my stupid socks never fit right and bunch up under my little toes causing blisters. :x

Only to be equalled to pre-race nausea. :x

Funny you mention these. I usually get during-race nausea. That sucks.

Probably more for the people behind you, though...

it is also a good thing. The clock is objective. It judges everyone the same.

The clock can be a cold, cruel taskmaster, though.

I absolutely hate that I can't take a week off with no consequence.

George Sheehan once said that runners only have three natural enemies: dogs, cars, and physicians. I think he's right.

Dogs: Being terrorrized by some mutt running loose through the streets, complete with barking, growling, and showing of teeth.

Cars: Getting veered at, run off the road, cut off, ect. Not to mention drivers yelling things like, "run forrest run", "nice shorts, fag!", and "get off the #!@;& road!"

Physicians: "You have a sprained ankle. Don't run for at least a year..."

Or a doc who knows absolutely nothing about how running affects the body and really can't advise you as to the advisability of running with certain conditions.

I don't like trying to fit a training schedule into a busy enough life.

It can be a drag, trying to fit everything in, rather than enjoying all my runs, some of them just end up feeling "forced" because I have no other time to run.

The amount of effort it takes to get better. :x
