Hi, I am a 16 years old boy. I am not circumcised and have a long and slightly tight foreskin, but I can fully retract my it. My glans is very sensitive and hurt to touch therefore my way of cleaning the glans is apply some soap and rub it with the foreskin. I am doing this for over 5 years and it is very effective. There is no smegma for most of the time. But recently, after changing a body wash, I found that a white coat/film, almost like a skin is forming on my glans, which I think is smegma. It stick to the glans very tightly and hard to wash away. I have this problem before but the film/coat can be removed easily after washing it and the glans will stay clean as long as I wash it everyday , but this time it just stay there and seems like becoming more serious(the coat becoming thicker). What should I do? Maybe this is an allergic reaction of using that brand of bodywash? Maybe I should use another brand of soap/bodywash? Thx
Btw, I don't think that is any kind if infection as after cleaning the white stuff away, the glans looks very healthy. No rash, red spot, no pain or whatever.
Hi Meow,
A gentle soap is the best thing to use to wash your glans. Be careful of body washes as they often can dry out the skin.
Yes, your glans will be very sensitive at first. You will get used to it in time.
Are you using the body wash? Try another soap for a few days and see what happens.
