I have one below my lip as the top post said. really annoying :/

pimples on the lip, around the lip is not always because of bad hygiene. It can be because of the lip gloss/ lip balm/chapstick you use.

The key is to pop it and get all the white stuff out until clear liquid comes out. If hou dont it will still hurt and wont heal and will come back.

i frequently get them too. im not sure if its herpes or not amd im freaking out! i dont get fevers or any pain anywhere in my mouth or near my face but these "zits" get really big. anyway, i know how to get rid of it. wash your hands, then wash the area that you have the bump, steralize a pair of nail clippers (i know this sounds nasty but it works) and only pinch the thin tissue on the outside of the zit. DONT PINCH THE WHOLE THING! or will just gett bigger. next push it together with pressure and puss should come out. wait a couple of minutes and do it again (because theres always more hidden puss). keep repeating this process until you dont see any white inside the zit and it should also look like a hole or pit. wash the area again and put some baking soda on it and cover it so it doesnt get infected. ive been doing this for about 2 years now and it works for me and it also doesnt leave scars. but someone PLEASE help me figure out if these are just zits or cold sores!

After you get all the fluid or hard stuff out -- and you'll really have to use some clean tweezers and push quite hard--It may bleed-- put some hydrogen perioxide or alcohol on it. It will sting like crazy, but you want to make sure the area is CLEAN. Most of the time, this is an infected hair follicle or pore (or both) that something got into -- like dust or grease or makeup. If you shave or use wax, you are creating micro-abrasions that are just waiting for something to fall in or on the pore or hair follicle that you just ripped a hair out of. It is almost NOT likely to be herpes simplex anything --- and for the wise-ass who thinks he/she knows everything -- you AIN'T a doctor. And Herpes virus' have dozens of different varieties -- most of which are not sexually related or related to body mass or ANYTHING of that nature.

Arginine supplements can be countered with L-Lysine Supplements...Sounds like a 'cold sore' as Arginine Supplements can really mess it up. I dont know why you would want to take A supplements anyway it is very easy to get in your diet, even if your diet is terrible.

L-LYSINE AND LOTS OF VEGGIES AND WATER ONLY WAY TO COUNTER COLDSORE VIRUS

You don't have to have intimate contact with anyone to get a cold sore or herpes of the mouth. Anyone can be a carrier and, since a lot of little kids get them, you could have come in contact with anyone. The herpes virus can also be dormant in another person and therefore, they don't even know they have it. Intimacy isn't the only way of spreading this. It does sound like you could have it but it's not the end of the world. I've never had a cold sore but my sister did as a kid and she would get a big bump with tiny little ones around it. Just go to the doc or dermatologist if it's really bugging you! Hope this helps!

Hello,That isn't true acne isn't due to poor hygiene its an genetic condition and a hertitary condition.as a matter of fact too much washing can irritate your acne. In this case when in doubt ask your local dermatalogist. In the meanwhile drink water to flush impurities, take vitamins and exercise this will help keep ur body in healthy shape and that helps reduce the frequency of ur breakouts. Best wishes

I get them as well, and I rarely get pimples anywhere else. I was worried that it was a cold sore or herpes, but it's always just adjacent to my mouth, not on my lip. And they occur in the same ridiculous places, like right in the center in the septum above my mouth. Mine always occur singly, and they take a while to form a white head, and while they are forming they are very, very painful.
