Not sure when it started and at first I though i might have crabs or something. The discription I found most fitting so far was white piedra. Then I though maybe it was just from swetting in the summer time. It is now getting colder and it won't stay gone.

I get a white residue on some of my pubic hair more of the hair under my sack then anywhere else. There is none on the hair above my shaft it's all underneath and some on my sack. If I pull a hair out and look at it, It looks almost like a thin cream colored coating on the hair. I think it may be making a smell too. If I pay special attention when I wash down there I can get most of it off but not all. I read some place that with White Piedra, shaving helps, tried that and it still comes back once the hair starts to grow. I am starting to think that maybe it's a yeast infection? Is there a cream or something? Or is this just salt from my swet?
Oh yeah I am 29 and have only been with one partner for the last 7 years.

Thank you
have you ever found out what this is? how it occurs, and how to fix it?

I have the same problem! White pubic hair and unusual smell...

I went on vacation near mediterrian sea, it was very humid and hot..I guess this the reason of tjat sickness..

I herad that, white piedra is ssen in hot and humid climates, especially tropical climates..

I shaved my pubic hair and used a spray medicine (Oxiconazole)..I feel fine and there is no smell anymore...

Most of fungu medicine can help you treat white piedra. Because its a kind of fungus.

I think you can use any of medicine on this page:

He is right, it is White Piedra. After research Ive come to the conclusion that it was caused from one of three things (or a combination of) for me. 1) moved to a hotter more humid climate. 2) Using Stagnated Water for showering (water stagnation is caused from water being still for a long period of time or stored in a container in the heat for a long period of time), stagnated water is ideal for bacteria and fungus to grow in. 3) there is an extreme amount of dust and sand in the air, and the fungus that causes white piedra can be found sometimes in dirt and sand. and can also travel in the air. Ive never had this problem before moving here, (Iraq). Before I came here I was living in the Northwest of the U.S., with clean shower water, cleaner air and itsnot as humid. I also think a leading factor in causing this problem was the fact that everytime I take a shower, my genitals never actually have the chance to dry before there damp with sweat, so its a contant moist area, perfect for the fungus to thrive in.

This is the method I believe will work and I am trying Right Now, I believe for best results do all steps.

((((Gauranteed PLAN))))

-shaved pubic hair off

-shower 2 TIMES A DAY

-before showering, use an ANTI-BACTERIAL wet-wipe (keep in mind that fungus is different from bacteria and Anti-Bacterial chemicals don't really have much affect towards fungus, but should aid in the process of killing the fungus)

-then in the shower use Anti-Bacterial bar soap (Lather infected area vigorously then let soap soak for 5 - 10 minutes) then rinse.

-then using a shampoo containing Pyrithione Zinc (REGULAR Head & Shoulders will do) vigorously massage into infected area and let soak for 5 - 10 minutes

-then after your shower use another anti-bacterial wipe, wipe infected area

-then apply an Anti-Fungal Such as LAMISIL

-then if in a hot humid climate or if you know you will sweat alot apply a moister absorbent body powder lightly

((((THIS SHOULD WORK-PLAN))))

Ok now keep in mind that is my ATTACK IT WITH EVERYTHING I GOT plan, a simpler method that should work is to just make sure you shave and use shampoo containing Pyrithione Zinc (Head and Shoulders) and apply anti-fungle cream (such as LAMISIL) every day for 2-4 weeks.

Hi guys,

If you have what I think you have, it's called Trichomycosis Pubis.

I had the same thing and I was going nuts.

"While many patients are asymptomatic, patients have presented because of pubic rash, foul odor, or growths on the pubic hair. Presenting complaints of colored sweat also have been recorded, resulting in a consideration of chromhidrosis"

"Patients typically present with yellow or red nodules on the hair shafts; yellow is most common. Sweat in the region tends to be colored similarly."

You can google image search trichomycosis to see if its the same thing. From everything I've read its just a bacterial buildup in areas where you have sweat glands. It's actually more common in armpits which seems to be why its so hard to find anything about it on the pubic hairs but its the same thing.

here is an emedicine article on it with the full description and suggested treatments. Basically just shave the pubes, and use antibacterial soap and or benzoyl peroxide to get rid of the bacteria. After a while it should be back to normal. Washing a lot while you're treating it apparently helps too.

Hope this helps guys!

thanks for the help guys, i was to worried and embarrassed to tell someone. let me tell you my story,

i was 17 we moved to a apartment with no air conditioning, it was hot, i knew that my balls were sweaty, but i didnt care, i didnt shower for 2-4 days, then i remember i was about to go to soccer practice but i had to take a sh*t, i was just taking a sh*t then i lifted my ball sack and saw that my f*****g pubic hair under my balls were WHITE, i was like WTF WTF, I thought it was soap or something, i went and took a shower right away, washed my balls like crazy, i came out and seemed that most of it was gone, after practice i went to check on my balls, and saw it was the same sh*t, i shaved it, for about 5 months, i noticed that my pubic hair on the sides of my penis were also taking affect

i kept shaving and now 1.5 years later my public hair under my balls is half gone, wont grow back, donno know why, some hairs are white yellow dots on it, but im going to use you guys's tips once and for all

The most cost effective way of dealing with it is use bleach.
Just household lemon bleach. The lemon smells better. It won't burn or anything. Just feels slippery.
Take a bottle to the shower and while showering before soaping or getting wet, fill the bottle-cap with bleach and apply to all affected areas.
Then get warm in the shower trying to keep the bleached areas out of the water flow for a minute or two.
Then wash body with anti-dandruff shampoo.
Do it once or twice whenever you notice the stinky stuff on your armpits or groin.
Bleaching your clothes and sheets too.
You'll notice it lives in your clothes. You can smell it at the armpits mostly.
Using a hair removal cream is also a great way to do it. Just make sure you follow the instructions concerning 'time left on skin'.
Sexually hair removal is the best. By far. You can always say-"I did it for YOU, babe!"
It beats explaining and stops risk of infecting others.
Oh yes, you can pass it on to your lovers.
And people you share showers with. Flatmates. Soap sharing probably.
That's how I got it 13 years ago.
I moved into a house in Sydney with 2 other guys.
Next thing we knew we all had it on our armpits.
Years later on the balls.
I stay away from sharing deodorants too.
Try rocking the hairless look. Own it.
I've always considered it; fungal / yeast

it's the afterward discharge of semen once you have ejaculated and the penis head rests on the testicles. its of course sticky but not noticable as it is happening in sleep. its going to happen if u ever masterbate and then try to let the boner reside UNLESS you shower immediately after wacking and wait hours for the rest to slowly seep out IF it does. its occasional, probably a cousin to smegma, and sweat can make the smell once they combine.

It is most likely that you have Trichomycosis as stated above. Acne creams containing benzoyl peroxide should do the job. Anti bacterial soap and plucking or shaving infected areas is also recommended. (THROW RAZOR AWAY AFTER SHAVING, DO NOT REUSE)
