Thank you so much! I realized I had to pluck it a did so. It stopped the pain and it felt so much better. I started freaking out like I did something terrible. After reading your post it made me feel so much better that I did nothing wrong!

Well, I'm under the age of 15 and I always accidentally bite my tongue while eating or something. It always bothers me so I try to bite it off, but I always miss and it makes more right in the same area. What I would usually do was eat ice all the time (I know the dentists say it's bad for your teeth but I suck on it until it gets soft, then I bite it) or pull them off with tweezers but that honestly made it harder to eat because now they were open. I e never tried any of the remedies above (which I will now) and I just let it stay there and then one night you will realize it's not hurting that much. This has happened to me at least 40 times in my whole life.

I am a broken man. My tastebud hurt and pushed it against my teeth like a bully rubbing someone's face in the sand. Back and forth did I rub my ailing bud as if my teeth were a xylophone and I wanted to make gruesome music. Hours later I was awaken in grief and pain. As a middle school nemesis comes back to school after summer break and has grown 8 inches in 3 months, my bud came back hulking and muscular, seeking revenge. I am undone. He is pitiless and devoid of mercy. I am sorry tastebud. Please forgive me. He lays hold of the tip of my tongue in relentless revenge. Someone help me please. The nail clippers call to me from the closet. But my hands tremble at the thought and I am afraid of the bud. His reign of terror has left me sleepless and broken. Brothers. Sisters. Learn a lesson from me. Please do not provoke a bud to anger. If I live, I will be kind to all buds from now on. If I die, it was my own fault. I was a fool. I never knew the power of the bud.

oragel for numbing or even a ice cube help on it for a minute RIGHT BEFORE clipping it helps. Trust me I've perfected it, once the location is numb or cold to your liking quickly and efficiently under nice lighting usually in a large mirror of bathroom... place clippers blades around the taste bud. Take a couple seconds to make sure your in place, and don't give it another thought beyond that... very quickly *** SNIP *** I promise it's worth it. The waiting it out alternate is ridiculous, it's super sensitive, hurts with every motion, or foods being eaten, etc.. and overall a obstacle, painful one. Not sure I understand why some people would rather wait it out. That's somewhat like driving a car with a FLAT TIRE because you don't want to use doughnut spare you've got inside your trunk, so you'd rather smoke and wobble your way down the highway?

I just took a Q-Tip drenched in hydrogen peroxide and rubbed it every dirextion utill it came off. It's a clean and safe way to do it. If it doesnt come off right away, wait a while and do it the next day.

So glad I found this! I get them normally once every 3 months and usually I just bite them off but the latest one I had was so bad and painful that I just couldn't do it. Then I saw this post saying to treat it like a pimple and it relatively painless and effective to just pop it like a pimple! Thanks so much
