Hi. How did your initial appts go with both of them. I live in dallas area. My pcp referred me to ent after pth came high vit d low and calcium 10.3. I am interested in going to someone who is not quick to cut, gives me more info as to why my numbers low and run labs and tests a bit more before surgery.

Yes, I have studied the information he offers on his web site and it guided me to get the help I needed. I had one surgery but continued to have symptoms. The doctors in my small, rural town insisted I didn't have a parathyroid problem because I had already had the surgery. My calcium levels were within the normal margin and PTH was slightly high. Long story short, with proverbial guns loaded with information found on Dr. Normans sight, I finally went to UCSF and a surgeon there was very well informed and identified the problem immediately. Her name was Jessica and unfortunately, I can't remember her last name at the moment. Anyway, two parathyroid tumors were removed and life has been great ever since. If you are in California and having issues I highly recommend UCSF. If you can get to Florida I have heard Dr. Norman is the very best. He also answered some of my questions via email. He is amazing!
