Nothing helps. It's the curse of womanhood!! I've changed my diet, take all the vitamins recomended, prescription pain killers, tylenol with codine, advil, water, tea, bananas, and still... I lay here crippled and dibiltated for the next three days, unable to live life. So much pain I vomit. The only thing that's ever helped the pain go away once it starts is smoking Marijuana, but I don't like it!!

HI girls, I have found the best pain reliever to be exercise. My leg pains started around 2 years ago (when I was 24) and at one point it lasted for 3 months! I'm not a person that likes to exercise but I found that a half hour walk will usually cure the pain for a day or two. Hope this helps :)

Hey.. Yes the same thing happens to me. But it only happen a day or two before my period. It's a sensation between pain and urged to move the It's. calls restlegs syndrome. It's very uncomfortable. I usually elevate my legs up. I put a few pillow making sure my legs are higher enough.try it, it may help.

Did you mean potassium? Or protein? Bananas don't have a lot of protein :P

I have only been experiencing this for about 3 cycles now. I am also being treated for DVR and Pulmonary embolism and the cramps started to scare me because I thought they were back. I'm relieved to know there are others out there like me. Heat helps the most to me once the area is calm so to speak. I'm not sure if it is a muscular problem or a nerve issue. I'm going to try the banks to see if that helps. The pain is unbearable even though the slightest of pain kills me.

If you've got severe cramping in your lower back, bum area or thighs it could be a sign of endometriosis. It's not something you should ignore.

Nope but I get cramps on the top of my thigh too as if my thigh has a uterus. It's the same exact cramping

Low potassium and magnesium levels can aggravate any muscle cramps including those menstrual cramps because it affects the waynerves send and receive signals. Hence why people say take vitamins or eat bananas just take a specific vitKor vit Mg and save some time guessing... sometimes the natural swelling ,inflammation and bllod engorement that is a natural part of the process can be felt as 'deffered'pain.(thinks thats the word) when it spread further up the nerve path pr causes swelling that irritates other nerves. In the case of thighs and feet they are roughly on the same nerve path as the uterus and surrounding areas and when all this combines with the arsehole prostaglandins you have a perfect sh*t storm of pain... but there are other conditions so see a doctor. A gyno or other actual medically trained person if it is affecting your life. Not quacks and soothsayers on the web.
