Hi, i am 17 years old and i've looked up a lot on this. I've smoked marijuana for a year, heavily, everyday and a lot of it. I got a new girlfriend, and i am very sexually attracted to her. But mostly everytime we start getting sexual, i either don't get an erection, or i get one but it goes away. I understand that marijuana causes impotence. But what if you quit smoking it? how long will it take me to get back to normal? PLEASE somebody help me!

Home Cardio: Like Sex, It Takes Heart - ***edited by moderator*** web addresses not allowedTroubled with erectile dysfunction? These at home cardio exercises can be performed in the living room, and will help men perform in the bedroom.
One out of every ten adult men suffer from erectile dysfunction (ED). Three out of every ten adult men are overweight. Almost four out of every ten adult men are at risk of heart disease. And ten out of ten adult men could be avoiding all of those problems, achieving better erections, and having better sex. For free. How? With these simple at home cardio exercises.
Circulation and Erections
A recent study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that men who exercise regularly have stronger libidos and are much less likely to suffer from male impotence. And it makes sense: the key to good—that is, timely, firm, and long-lasting—erections is good circulation. An erection, after all, is just an incredible amount of blood packed into a spongy skin balloon. It stands to reason, then, that improved circulation leads to improved erections. Indeed, popular erectile dysfunction drugs such as Viagra™ work by doing just that: helping blood flow. So: how does one improve circulation? Apart from supplements and pharmaceuticals, there’s really only one answer to that question, the one found by the American Medical Association: exercise.
Unfortunately, due to the amount it can cost and the time it can take, exercise is not easily introduced into daily habits. Every year, millions of gym memberships go unexploited, and millions of dollars’ worth of home exercise equipment does nothing but collect dust in a closet or under a bed. Imagine how many fewer cases of ED there would be, how much more good sex there would be, if the average man exercised every spare moment, wherever he happened to be, whatever he happened to be doing? This article will outline some easy and fast at home cardio workouts that can be performed with no or very limited equipment, and, more importantly, that will improve circulation—and erections.

EXERCISE!!!! amigos exercise!!"
and quit smoking weed and cigarette..
Firstly, ***edited by moderator*** web addresses not allowed is for the most part unreliable. It's run independantly by non-experts, is not fact checked, and their number one disclaimer is - "You should not consider the information contained on this Website to be complete, nor should you rely on the information to suggest a diagnosis or a course of treatment for a particular individual."
Secondly, the other URL mentioned was obviously created by a stoner who has only done research about potential positve effects of mj. There is VERY LITTLE objective information provided by medical "experts" available when it comes to pros/cons of smoking mj.
Don't make this too complicated. Nobody has to be an expert to know that when you smoke mj, you are consuming mass amounts of carbon monoxide. The affects of carbon monoxide on your vascular and circulatory systems is horrible. Your sex life, among other things, is directly related to your vascular and circulatory system. This is the same reason that chronic (regular) cigarette smokers eventually have to deal with ED/impotence. Some people will try to say that mj is a vasodiolator and will increase circulation... The effects of carbon monoxide on the walls of your veins and arteries counter this notion.
If you are stoned more times than not, you are inviting symptoms of amotivational syndrome. I'm not saying mj causes amotivaitonal syndrome, because that can't be proven, but there is enough evidence available to at least identify a relation. I'm simply saying smoking mj regulary takes away motivation, without a doubt, and WILL cause you to lose passion, interest, and drive. Your brain learns to have feelings of gratification only when stimulated by the dope. You lose the ability to let most things other than mj satisfy you, including sex or events that can lead to sex.
Anyone who is a chronic smoker and says that their motivation is great has probably been smoking so long that they have forgotten what being motivated really feels like.
It's possible that you're just nervous and getting performance anxiety. Do you have strong/lasting erections when masturbating? Do you masturbate? Do you get morning erections? If the answer to those questions is no, you probably have a hormonal imbalance (low testosterone or high estrogen), and, if left uncorrected, that will cause other serious issues in life. Exercise helps that also.
I was also smoking when my wife and I conceived a child, so clearly I was fertile as well. I think your problem is stemming from elsewhere. Maybe you need to stop smoking to focus on improving other areas of your life. You have a health or mental deficiency barring you from one of the greatest, non-fattening pleasures that life has to offer. Get serious -- you're young, and the older you get, the harder it is to repair yourself.
At a minimum, it is good to take breaks from MJ to gain some perspective. Smoking "every day and alot of it" will take its toll, and if it doesn't/hasn't, you should be worried about not noticing the effects it has had. They are very real, and like everything else, moderation is key. It has helped me and it has hurt me. Weed is not a bad thing, but humans often do bad things to themselves. Like I said, take a break, gain some perspective, and consider what you want from life and what is keeping you from it.
The major problem I did have was becoming "bored" with the person, especially when I was younger. I would date a girl for months and we'd be sexually active, but after a while it just wasn't what it used to be. Sex was great and fun, but I felt like I wanted it to END so I could do something else, lol.
Are you sure you're not just bored? Also, don't take this the wrong way, but have you ever pondered the idea that you may be homosexual or bisexual? You really have to consider all options to see what's wrong. Being a teenager is hard, and incredibly confusing sexually. I am bisexual, and my teenage years were more confusing than a 6000 piece puzzle.
I don't know how it works in the US, but in Canada you can call up and book a Doctors appointment in a couple days and get the verdict then. That way, you can get blood tests and an appropriate examination from a professional.
Like I said, though, in Canada you can just call up and get the appointment and all the blood work done for free in the next couple days, I don't know how much it is going to cost in the US.
My boyfriend has smoked weed almost is whole life and he's almost 30. And he's amazing in bed and we only ever have problems with him not getting a erection when he's anxious, sleepy, really really really drunk, or being lazy all f*****g week and sitting sround smoking pot and playing video games. Seriously! He works with granite and when he doesn't work or anything he can't get it up because his heart and circulatory system has't been getting any cardio. I know how much you potheads hate exercise, but really it helps lol. just a little bit like 2-3 times a week. I'm talking walk for 30 - 1hr. that'll seriously help lots. AND EAT GREENS!!! These are proven increase libido/erection. I'm not crazy. i just pay attention to my boyfriend, his habits and their consequences lol. So pot doesn't directly affect your erection, but it makes you wanna sit and eat junk food. And those are what will kill your sex life. And getting anxious about it will only make it worse!
I couldn't disagree with you more. Not only did you not answer this guys question but your response doesn't belong in this forum. You take something so unessential like marriage and try to make it sound like scientific fact. Waiting until marriage to have sex can cause horrible decision making and lead to divorce. My parents waited until marriage had 5 kids were together for 20 horrible years and now are divorced and my mother is the most bitter women I know still 10 years later. Bottom line sex was around before marriage so in that respect your statement makes absolutely no sense. I mean come on you said "sex was made for marriage" how is that true when sex was here first. In fact marriage was made for people like you just like your religion was made up by man for weak men who need to believe in something or need to be told what to believe in.Zerok wrote:

I'm very sorry for your problem. It's a difficult problem for sure.
I would like to encourage you to save sex for marriage. Society tells us that if we save sex for marriage, we're being denied our "right." In fact, the opposite is true. Truly, sex was made for marriage; it releases bonding hormones that help us to stay true to our marriage commitments. When extra-marital sexual relationships break up they lead to undue emotional stress. Extra-marital sexual relationships decrease good decisionmaking that is necessary for the dating process (ie, sometimes the best thing to do is to break up with someone, but when you're in a sexual relationship, you're less likely to break up or stay broken up.) And broken extra-marital sexual relationships lead to greater difficulty in building trust when you do eventually marry. (If you've had sexual relationships that didn't last before marriage, you feel less stable and committed to a marriage because you've "been there before.")
It may be difficult to see these things at this point in your life, but life goes very quickly, and someday soon you'll be looking back on this point in your life and living with the consequences of today's decisions, whatever those decisions may be. When you're married to the most wonderful woman in the world (and I suspect you will be!), what will you want to give her?
I'll pray for you in your difficulties. I hope you'll be able to quit the marijuana and resolve the impotency problem. I'd hate for you to have to have that problem throughout your married life. : (
lol just kidding, maybe you psycho-ma-logical issues or something.
You can always grab some of those little blue pills. Get a LOW dose those, i'm 25 and took one, didn't need but thought it would make me SOLID as a ROCK. It did for 7 HOURS. My girlfriend couldn't take much more, so I said I was going to the ER and ended up getting a hooker. My penis was sore for days, not cause of the hooker, the pill, although she was kinda nasty, good thing I wrapped up.
