Me & my boyfriend recently had sex for the first time. there was a bit of blood and spotting then and the next day, but by the second day i was bleeding heavily. its now the third day and i'm still bleeding as if i'm on my period, yet its not supposed to be time for my period. i've read up on a few sites, and it said there should be a bit of spotting afterwards but nothing else. I'm not sure if something is wrong, but i'm having symptoms like i always would for my period. Is it possible that i just started my period early? or should i see my gyno?
Both.

If you have no reason to be concerned, then you're fine, but the simple fact is you are concerned: so go see your doctor / gyno, whatever.

If there are no other symptoms, pain, or reasons for concern, you may elect to wait a day or so, see if it does indeed complete just like a normal period, but never be afraid to check something out with your doctor: that's what they're there for. We're just experienced adults, not medical professionals, and we're also not present: your doctor is both.
