These boys age would be 11 and 12 years old. The school requires a teacher to be with students at all times to reduce bullying and harassment. This means she will have to supervise the boys in the locker room before class and after returning to the locker room. She will sees them undress and dress, see them in the shower and toilet area. This means she will see them naked.

Hi sally
I would think that just like it would not be acceptable for a male teacher to supervise 11 and 12 year old girls in a change room it should be the same for boys being supervised by a female staff member is not acceptable.
Some may not mind but the change room can be very intimidating for some kids so being watched and supervised by a female staff member would be very awkward for many of the boys.

It's probably mandatory in the Equal Opportunity world. Female reporters are allowed in professional sports teams locker rooms ---- the judge has spoken in Boston.

Back in my day, the gym teacher was in their office and they hardly went into the locker room.  Why the school doesn't have a same-sex monitor in the room baffles me.

To njoynlife, there's a huge difference between being in a pro athlete's locker room than being in one at a school.

These are not professional athletes, these are male students that that may find it embarrassing to have their female teacher seeing them naked that have matured into puberty and some not. It's not right for the girls to have a male teacher in watching them naked nor is it right for the reverse, equal right for both sexes.

what you say about the reporters has nothing to do with the supervision of children. When I was a child between 6 and 7 years old, we used to change boys and girls together in the women's locker room with a female teacher.
I didn't feel good changing. I covered you with the towel and I changed (at most I would show my ass). In secondary education, a teacher wanted to do the same thing (she did it once and we were all dressed) and we told her that if she happened to enter (without the notice and consent of everyone inside) we would report her. She did not do it again. When I was 18 in other school another teacher also did it.
A classmate who saw him naked told the teacher if he came back in without notifying her, he would undress her with or without permission (if she did not warn that he was going to come in, he would not tell her that he was going to undress her). this last teacher could be denounced since 100% sure she saw 1 naked boy and possibly someone else

Professional sports is not the same as underage students in high school or grade school. Plus some boys have already entered puberty and deserve the privacy whether they matured their man parts or not.

My 13 year old son had detention for not showering in PE. Reason-girls PE teacher came into shower room everyday. Principal said, after all, she is a mother with boys of her own. But she is not my sons mother. I suggested that the Principal, boys PE teach and me go into the girls shower room. After all we 3 had girls too. Why, we can't do that. Detention stopped.

Professional sports is a different locker room than a boys locker room. The only reason female reporters are let in some professional mean locker room is because male reporters are allowed in. The coach could put an end to this if he did not allow reporters in the locker room at all, which is the way it should be for men and boys to have their privacy in the locker room just like it is for women. Yes I would have a problem if a female teacher was in my sons locker room while they "boys" are undressed and showering. Eye candy works for both sexes and opposite sexes should not be supervising in the opposite sex locker room. Children are maturing earlier these days.

Whether the boys have reached puberty or not a female does not belong in the boys locker room, I totally agree privacy works both ways. Boys should not have to have to be seen naked by their female teachers. Just because she doesn't get an erection doesn't mean she is not getting pleasure.

Years ago, when I was attending a small private Christian school in Southern California, we had boys and girls gym classes together. The girls and the boys each had their own separate locker rooms and showers, but the teaching staff was all female. My homeroom teacher was the assigned teacher for the boys shower room. I was 12 at the time and going through puberty big time. The female teacher would pass out towels to each of us as we left the shower area. The age group was probably 6 year olds to 12 year olds. There were two other 12 year old boys in the class. The teacher would watch us all closely. She would spend more time helping the younger ones get dressed. But when a female teacher (she was probably 45 or 50), gives you a long once over as you are handed your towel and then follows you to your locker and asks if I need any help, it was immediate for me. And the crazy thing was at the time, I didn't even know what an erection meant.
My Dad had never explained to me what this meant or anything. I just knew I was very embarrassed and didn't know what to do. I cried several times. Fortunately the teacher noticed this and called me back into the office. She had a long meaningful talk about why boys my age get erections and that I shouldn't feel embarrassed. She told me to think about other things while I was in the shower room and get showered and dressed as soon as possible. She was a great help to me as a child. So to answer the question, yes sometimes women teachers are in the boys locker room. It is not always bad if it occurs. Sometimes it can even be helpful to the child..
