I'm 32 and I also never have had a period... I guess at this point I now know I am not alone... My mom took me to the doctor when I was 15 to make sure everything was alright and in fact the doctor had said everything was normal... It was my first and last doctor visit... i've never gone back to check myself again... even though er nurses and doctors have suggested it... I'm perfectly happy the way I am , although I would love to be a mom someday, I am happy with what God gave me... I may not have big breasts but as long as i know i'm happy and i ain't getting no menstrual cramps, which i've heard are a pain in the butt (not literally lol)and that I am healthy that is all that matters... Before I got married though I had the talk with my husband about my situation and how this might affect us not having children... and he accepted me either way... So what else could I ask for... I know everyone of us desires to have a child of their own... but there is always the option of adoption... like I tell my family , there are so many abandoned children out there that wish they had a loving family , of course it wont be your biological child but as the saying goes mother is not the one who brings a child into the world but the one who cares for the child... (its a saying in spanish "madre no es la que engendra es la que cria")...

I am 30 years old and in the EXACT situation. No one understands that this is embarrasing for me. I have a twin sister, so growing up I didnt want to be different and just lied about period. Now my twin is pregnant and although I am happy for her, it has made me become even more depressed about my situation.

Hey,

I am in the exact situation as you. I see this post from over a year ago, so I am sure you are married now. I, like you, have never had my period. I am 24, weigh 95 pounds (I can not gain weight for the life of me). I recently got married, and though we do not want kids for quit a few years, I would like to get this figured out. I have had MRI's, and ultra sounds, and blood work, and everything seems fine. They say it could be because of my weight? I used to be really active but this past year I have tried to gain weight, not as active, eating basically whatever I want. But nothing, I have hardly gained any weight, yet I am getting a little pooch belly. I just don't know what to do... any help?!

Could this be related to a thyroid issue?

Hi everyone!

I'm 22 years old and had never had my periods, I've been waiting for them so long then decided to see the doctor and he gave me pills that gave me my menses for 4 days. From then on I've never gotten them again. I'm so scared that maybe I won't be able to concieve.

I went to a local hospital as reffered by a clinic, and I had my blood samples taken and a sonar that left two doctors confused. I never went back again cause I was so scared of what I may hear. I've been having abdominal pains and pre-menstrual symptoms, that is very confusing.

I'm planning to go back to the hospital again and maybe they might help. This is a very sad situation, and stresses me everytime I even started reading up on primary amenorrhea hoping to get answers; but atleast I know more about it.

I thought I was the only one suffering from this, I'm relieved to see that there are many women going through the same thing. Just hope that we all get help. I'm so happy though that I shared this thing cause it's been vexing me.

Thank you for reading!

Hi i am 37 years old and have never had my period with out birth control. I ended up finding out I had hypopitutarism. It controls your glands. It is a pea sized gland in the back of your brain. Look at the symptoms. It causes me to have hypothyrodism and chances of infertility.I can't explain it well. I'm sorry I'm not a good speller and have never left a comment before. I hope this helps.

Did you know that you are still able to produce a fetus in your uterus regardless if a guy is with you or not? It all depends on if your body produces enough bone marrow. And usually, your body produces a lot of bone marrow if you have an underdeveloped uterus or cervix. It's possible because of the X chromosome in the females reproductive tract. Although, if you happen to produce a fetus, at birth it has a high risk of birth defects and health issues, because the egg never got fertilized by a male's sperm. But you should look into this! If you're afraid if not being blue to have children, search up more info on female reproduction within the X chromosome. It's really interesting! I know about 2 people that were able to produce a newborn, and neither of them had birth defects! (:

Don't feel bad I'm 24 with the same problem, trust me I know how you feel I'm engaged and all we have ever wanted is a child and it sucks to feel like you just want to be normal I've felt this way for a very long time, i used to feel like I was broken, turns out birth control can help to start a period due to the levels of estrogen, so keep your head up girl everything is fine

ladies i have never had a period either. a bit comforting and overwhelming to see so many other people have this problem too.i have growth hormone deficiency as well.. i was on growth hormone supplements for 15 years when finally they upped my doses and left me in the hospital after losing a bunch of my hair, gained about 50 pounds and having horrible migraines which was due to spinal fluid backing up into my brain.. had to have 3 spinal taps (one lasting for an hour and a half). i stopped my GH treatment then and there. and when i was 18 my gyno put me on birth control to try and jump start my period as i had never had one myself. this worked until they took me off birth control a year later, again had no period. ive had mri's, ultrasounds, a scope procedure done and about enough blood tests i could have replenished the Atlantic ocean.. NOTHING. they say im totally normal. all my hormones are in order and perfect levels. im 23 now and living in ireland (originally from AZ) and the medical system here is a joke!!! ive had about 6 appointments in the last 3 years and they still cant tell me a damn thing. had my appointment today to find out what my pituitary gland was up to from my mri (that i had 7 months ago), and all he suggested was to get more blood work done. i am at a loss here and need some answers!!! i am getting married in less than a year, and want loads of babies in the future and my doctors are doing nothing to help but give me the run around. a very very slow run around as there arent as many specialists in this country and i have an appointment roughly every 7 or 8 months as the waiting list is so long.
