Ladies - I have had the same symtoms as some of you (as I think there are about 2or 3 different threads of symptoms listed above). Mine are: severe abdominal cramping; strong urge to to go to the loo (no.2 - but you don't always go); pain is so bad you can hardly move or breath; cold sweat; can't stand up without blacking out. I never knew what was wrong - until I was recently diagnosed with Endometriosis. It affects everything in your pelvic area (I'm at stage 4 the highest stage) - other symtoms can be really bad periods; night sweats; and the above symtoms. The endometriosis causes adhesions in your pelvic cavity which kinda glue your bowel to other organs etc and can cause severe pain. Too much info for me to type in here - so please google it for further info. Doctors are terrible at diagnosing it - as the symtoms can be mistaken for other separate illnesses. I had mine for at least 17 years before I was diagnosed at age 36! A lot of women have it without realising. Hope this helps.

My attacks have a set pattern:

Night. heat in the stomach, gas and bubbles in the lower abs, cramping and urge to defecate. I rush to bathroom. More cramping, I break out intoa  sweat, shallow but rapid breathing, nausea, lightheaded feeling and panic. More powerful cramping, usually followed by watery diarrhea. Soon after, the symptoms clear and I feel fine.

One every while, even after the diahhrea, waves of cramps keep happening. Profuse sweating, nausea, the room spins and I pass out.

What the hell is that?

I also find myself having these attacks, I actually just had one about 20 minutes ago.
During my attack I felt most of the symptoms that all of you have described:
- lower abdominal pain
- urge to go to the bathroom, followed after by diarrhea
- cold sweat, feeling clammy
- nausea, however no vomiting
- dizziness, followed by fainting (only happened once so far)

I've had 3 attacks in 2 years and the first time I got one was the only time I fainted,
I was 15 when I first had that attack and luckily my father and sister were around.
They took me to the ER but all they did there was test me for a UTI.. I don't think that, that is the culprit.
The second time I had an attack I felt the abdominal pain, the cold sweat, and urge to go to the bathroom..
I was lucky that time because the episode only lasted for a short while. Thankfully no fainting occurred.
The third and most recent attack I felt the abdominal pain, the cold sweat, bathroom - diarrhea, nausea.. etc.
I have no clue what is wrong with me, and I will continue to do research on it...
Hopefully someone could make a list as to what these symptoms are connected to?
That would be most helpful.

I was diagnosed with ceilac disease last month. iI had ibs, dizzness, abdominal pain, feeling faint especially after a bm. The dr. prescribed anaspaz to relieve cramping due to  spazms and i cannot eat anything with gluten in it. I have not had an " episode " since I started the gluten free diet. Ask your GI Doctor to check you for ceilac; Good luck and God Bless.

it seems like i've also had one of these "spells". i'm 18 and almost a month ago it hit be full on. My period had started the night before and it was the next morning. All of a sudden i felt very dizzy and sick, i was standing so i sat down and then i started to burn up. I suddenly was so hot i wanted to take off all my clothes and started to fan myself. My mouth also became very dry. Then lower abdominal pain started to come on and i rushed to the washroom thinking that i just had to go to the washroom really badly. I then feeling like i was going to vomit went to the washroom, but the pain didn't cease. It got to the point that the pain was so severe that i actually thought that i was going to die. I could not sit still, and was rolling around on the floor trying to find some sort of comfort. I then proceded to hyper ventilate and my arms and legs went numb. 911 was called, but by the time they had arrived, the ibuprofen had kicked in and i was feeling fine. I have still yet had a chance to go to the doctor and i have no clue what this could be.

My wife has had similar stomach cramping with described symptoms - She has since cut out GLUTEN from her diet and limited DAIRY.  This is as a result of being tested for Gluten Intolerance - which most doctors can do know via a blood and fecal test.  This would be a good rule out for folks if these symptoms are ongoing - if its a once a year kinda event - then it's likely the flu.  I do think that a lot of people benefit from changing their diet - especially in regards to gluten and dairy.

Hello I have been feeling really sick as in wanting to vomite, stomach cramps as well as my ovaries being very sensitive when being touched by physician.  I went away to get married and was very sick during this time.  I began peeing out blood and feeling like vomiting throughout most of the days and continue to feel this way to this day (minus blood in urine).  I came back and the doctor that I went to see summed it up to bladder infection however sent my urine away to be cultured.  I continued feeling like vomiting even after all my medication was done.  I returned to the clinic I originally went to only to find out the culture came back with no infection however white blood cell counts are still present in my urine.  I have PCOS and have been feeling so yucky lately the doctor is sending me for a pelvis ultrasound February 28th, 2012 but I am a little concerned and would like to know if there is any information you can provide to me that might shed some light on what may be happening.  The doctor also mentioned that it is possible with everything she has checked already that there may be a growth or inflammation?  The "growth" term is what scares me the most and any information provided would greatly be appreciated.

U know I get that same feelings as you, Not sure what is up I am guessing it many of things. I dont take pills, and I don't drink a lot, Usually just on the weekends, I will have a few smironoffs. Anyhow I have had these pains for last few years, but after having a surgery they didnt come back until a month and half ago. I blacked out one night, and two of my friends found me laying on the floor sad part is I only remember half of what happen. My tummy hurts so much that it also feels like I am going to have an attack. My Doctor doesn't seem to know whats up so I am asking for a referrel to a Gastrologists.

My sister's best friend continues to have attacks like that. She blacked out at home alone and bruised herself up really bad. She blacked out again at work. Luckily, she works at a hospital. the only thing she can say is that she has severe stomach pains before it happens. She vomits and goes to the bathroom alot. The Dr. continues to say it's her heart!!Quote:

I have just had an episode & I think it is called a Situational Syncope
I have had about a dozen over the last 30 years or so.
Have a Dr's appointment tommorow so hopefully will clarify what causes them.

If you read the post posted by Guest above - you'll see that your symptoms correspond. I was diagnosed with ENDOMETRIOSIS - which describes all of your symptoms. Ask you doctor to investigate this.

I get this really cramping feeling sometimes and before I know it I am sitting on the toilet with diarrhea and/or puking. I get so sweaty that the sweat literally drips off of my entire body. My hearing and visions get very blurry and I and up blacking out because the pain gets so bad. I feel very weak before blacking out. This is literally the worst pain I have ever felt in my life and my heart goes out to anyone who has this problem. I've been to the doctor and the only thing they have done is many surgeries to try and diagnose my problem but I haven't got very far. They tested for Crohns Disease and it came back that I did have some inflammation in my bowels and other areas of the abdominal tract. But then they told me I didn't have Crohns? I'm so confused and I just want answers and maybe a diagnoses and treatment!?

Try looking up vasovagal syncope. It's commonly brought on by triggers like going to the bathroom. I usually come close to vasovagal syncope when I have a stomach ache and have to go to the bathroom.
