Me and my husband have been trying to get pregnant for about 6 months now with little success: different shifts and weird vacation days have kinda put us past that "right day" so far. I'm not at the fanatic chart-temperatures and test everyday stage, because we don't HAVE to get pregnant right now, but we'd like to think about it... Now, heres the fun part though, I am 25 days overdue for my period, and I think we hit the mark last month (July) on the ovulation days, I can't get a single test they make to show me something hopeful! I think I've taken about 8 tests this last month, a few when I was late by a few days, another at a week, more at two, and one last one on Monday, and each test is by a different brand and still no luck. I have for the last few weeks been more tired, I've had this icky metaley taste in my mouth, and just this last week or so I've started to get nauseous on quick car rides or random dizzy spells when I'm at work, which all could be pregnancy symptoms but could also as well be other things: stress, the heat, my weird 3rd shift work schedule, and not eating right. My period has not always been the most punctual, but never the less, I have not skipped a month I can remember since I started in junior high.
What truly are my chances of being pregnant, and who else has had something like this happen? Im afraid to get my husband all riled up and get all excited if I just had a bad month... I will see the doctor after the 6th, which is when my period, if at all, should come so next week we get a real opinion.
