I had a medical abortion(the pill) 6 weeks ago this Friday. I went back for the 2week check up and everything was fine. I was then cleared to have sex, so I did. My husband didn't use protection, only once, but now I am concerned I might be pregnant. I have had two children, so I know what pregnancy is like. Although I'm not experiencing any symptoms, my tummy is starting to get bigger, as if I am. Almost as if I still am from before the abortion. I still haven't stopped bleeding and I'm just really not sure what is going on. I don't know if I would get a clear result from a pregnancy test or if it's possible that the abortion didn't work, even though I saw my after ultrasound. Any advice is welcome. I am really hoping my body is just trying to get back to normal because I am unable to have another child and don't want to go through all that again.
but just by a growing tummy which could be due to gaining weight you can't presume you are pregnant
You said u haven't stopped bleeding so have u been bleeding since the abortion?
If you saw the after ultrasound and your two week checkup went well, it is very unlikely that you are pregnant. It is also unlikely that your stomach would begin to swell after only four weeks of pregnancy (6-2weeks.) However, why would you expose yourself to the risk of another pregnancy if you just had an abortion? Perhaps you and your husband need to consider another form of birth control, for your safety and the wellbeing of your body.
