Thank you so much for this info it helped a lot!!
So glad I found this topic. I'm 26 and I've smoked weed for 8 years now (about 3 years chronically). I've been no stranger to marijuana-induced panic attacks over these 8 years, but all of the symptoms usually pass within 30 minutes to an hour.
However, a few days ago I got high and had one of the worst panic attacks I've had in a long time. I can usually calm myself down on my own because I can recognize what's happening, but this time I had to have my brother sit with me because I was afraid I was really going to pass out. Since then, I've noticed I've been short on breath and have a little tightness in my chest. I smoked a few times since then because I felt a bit better, and each time I get a panic attack a little while after smoking. Until now I was convinced I had a chest cold (despite the fact that I'm not really coughing anything up) or some sort of asthma / allergy issue. It's interesting to know that a lot of people have experienced residual effects from panic attacks days after it's happened, and that may be an issue as well.
I have been suffering from silent reflux for years and have been on every medicine with varying results. Not totally stop the continuous feeling of a lump in throat and constant throat clearing. The one thing that makes it almost 100% better is smoking weed. When I do (usually in the evenings) is the first time I feel relief.
Does anyone know why?
