After i tried meth(8 bowls with some metheads i once knew) ONE TIME i was allergic to THX for like 3 months, every time i took more than 2 hits i would get really sweaty, and if i got no water or something similar(powerade, etc.) I'd have a seizure and piss myself. Now i smoke regularly like I used to. Being allergic is possible and i used to think it was a myth, i only smoked meth one time mind you.

I wanted to share my reaction to marijuana because its a little different than others i have read. It is indeed a REAL allergic reaction and those that say its not possible do not know as much as they think they do.

In college, I noticed that i had a strange reaction when i was around someone who smoked marajuna. I had never experienced a reaction before because I myself, am not a "weed" smoker. I cant even be around someone who has smoked this, even if its hours later. I had a boyfriend early this year who wasn't allowed to come over after he'd smoked because i could always tell and would make him go home. I know its not psychological because i can never smell the stuff in the air myself. My nose starts to ich and then burns and my eyes water. I do not stick around longer then this to see how bad it can get. I had to leave my apartment tonight because someone, buildings down was smoking. This was confirmed when someone else from the complex smelled it to and said so as I passed by them to leave.

I feel a little helpless when im in situations with those who smoke because there will always be people who do this and I cant knock on everyones door and simply ask them to stop. Im forced to leave environments, stay away from clubs and even break up with boyfriends simply because of this reaction. My allergies are severe but the reaction to weed is the strangest thing i have ever heard. I could work for the police as a smelling "dog person" if they had a position like that...im just THAT sensitive. Have you heard of similar reactions from people who DO NOT smoke at all and who have ALWAYS had this reaction. Im curios because most people think im crazy when i tell them of this..until they see it for themselves!

OK so, I have been feeling some of these symptoms but don't think I'm allergic to it. Atleast I don't think I am. After a severe Caffeine OD it was up in the 800mg ish area I began to get really bad trips. I'd have something similar to an anxiety attack, heart palpitations, basic convulsions, a pressure at the back of my throat like something hot is pressing to get out. This has happened the last two times I've smoked, they were both after the OD, and also after that I have become highly sensitive to marijuana, I get completely screwed off of one ridiculously small hit and fumes have been affecting me a little bit lately aswell. My family has a history of mental disorders aswell including Anxiety and Depressive disorders. I would really like to continue smoking as I only started at the beggining of september and I enjoy smoking with my friends. Does anybody have an input or perhaps a seperate conclusion for these highs? I'd appreciate any kind of help.
Thanks :-)

if you are allergic to marijuana, this is what will happen:

you smoke the marijuana
yoru throat and mouth will swell up
when you get high, you will have a good time, but with alot of alergic reactions like sneezing and coughing
then hours have passed and yoru still high, your getting scared, soon the entire day has gone by and yoru still high, yo have a bad headache
within days of this you will die because it causes a permanent high, which will not go away until it fries yoru brain, and you pass out dead.

but thats like a .0001 chance of you dieing from, it, thats the only possible way you can die from it,
well that and smoking 15,000 joints in 15 minutes lol

oh and btw if your not allergic.... SMOKE ON!

I also get the more severe reaction, my throat closes up and very fast. Just a warning to ALL. As my doctor told me, an allergic reaction can evolve and become serious. So if you have an itchy throat that might be a hint that next time your throat will just completely swell up/close up. Also take note that everytime you have an allergic reaction epi pens become less and less effective for more an more serious attacks. Please don't think that if I smoke and stab myself or take some benedrill everything will be just fine because the next time it might not be. Lastly and most important is each time you have an attack not only do the symptoms get progressively worse but they happen faster. Not to scare anyone but my doctor told me horror stories of people who went from having a 15 minute attack to a full on throat collapse in under a minute and it took 2 epi pens just to hold it the throat back just enough to get to the ER. I smoked for 4 years on an off and I will say knowing this, one marajana hit just isn't worth the time, ER bill, raised insurance and the scare of knowing you CAN DIE. People die of bee stings which is also internal allergic reaction.

If you do smoke good luck but remember all the time it could take you to get to the hospital and all the factors that could happen along the way. Every red light feels like a nightmare and every extra second just makes it that much worse. If your not sure always smoke with a friend, the paramedics are psychics. It happened to me 6 visits to the ER before I realized what it was.

Just be responsible

im confused as to whats wrong wit me cuz ive been smoking for over a year but lately ive been smokin alot... atleast 1 joint a day and lately ive been gettin sick when i blow it down so i wanna kno wats wrong ? i dont think im allergic because its not lke this always happens it just started happening. what happens is after a couple mins even while im still smokin i start to feel it an then after that i start gettin nasseous. i also get this tight feeling in my head (but its not a headache), i start feelin really hot, i noticed my breathin slows down significantly and i feel as though im about to faint. lately the nassea has been getting to me and its been making me throw up. last time i smoked which was on wednsday it felt like i threw up till my stomach turned itself inside out twice, an the worst part about it was i was in school. luckily i didnt get caught cuz i had to go to the nurse twice but yea i wanna know wats wrong. am i allergic, am i swallowing smoke, or am i just smoking too much ? personally i think im just smoking too much but that doesnt make sense because ive been smokin everyday for the past couple months and i cant even handle 2 dutches when theres 8 people. lol im ashamed to admit that. i couldnt even handle a nick on my own.

That is a marijuana induced panic attack, not an allergic reaction. THC is naturally produced in the body in very small amounts. Sometimes when I smoke I can feel my heart beating really hard and feel it all over my body and then I get all nervous and upset. Thought I was dying. Lol. Nope just having a panic attack. I only get them if I go awhile barely smoking and then just pick up to smoking alot. After I smoke like a chimney for a few months I am fine. but If I slack up and only smoke like once a week or what not and then go back to heavy smoking they hit me..hard.

Don't forget either that your marijuana could be tainted or laced with any number of other unknown substances besides THC, which could provoke the aforementioned reactions.

I have been smoking regularly for about the past 5 years... Just a couple months ago, I found i was getting immediate allergic response (being quickly growing hives) upon contact. After continued use, I have been getting bite-like spots that morph into an itchy, swollen rash like hive on different parts of my upper body... At first I was afraid of some sort of STD but my doctor told me this was an allergic reaction internally.

I have never come to hear of a developed allergy to weed. After performing tests and getting witness testimony, I thoroughly regret to say that I have to stop smoking it. Marijuana is an amazing thing and has helped me through a lot of tribulations in my life, and those who can smoke it without physical consequence, I envy you, for this substance has no reason to be illegal.

In conclusion, I would like to know if I am alone and if anyone had any sort of solution for my problem.

For health professionals: can the accumulated allergy to marijuana be result of other prescription drugs that deal with the symptoms of athsma or other daily allergies?

I have been having some sort of reaction which I believe is marijuana related as well. I have been a smoker on and off for about 4 years, the past 2 years I have smoked on a daily basis. About 2 months ago I went to a movie with some friends and began having some sort of attack that I could not identify. I developed a throbbing headache in the back of my head and neck. My head and neck were uncomfortable to rub, and the headache spread to my frontal lobes and caused pain behind my eyes. I felt as though my throat was tightening, however I could still swallow and breath. My breath became labored, and this state hung on me for over an hour. For several days after this I had severe difficulty eating. While I did not have physical difficulty swallowing food, it caused an extremely uncomfortable sensation. Ever since then, I have had varying degrees of these symptoms on and off. Three times I have had serious attacks. At first I though that it could be the type of bud that I had been getting lately, as I had started buying from a different person than I used to. Now however I am not so sure. I am not even entirely sure that it is marijuana related. The reaction does not happen immediately after I smoke, and there have been several times that I have smoked and had no adverse effects at all. There are several inconsistencies in these symptoms, for example the inability to eat does not happen at all anymore. I have decided that starting today I will have to refrain from smoking entirely until I can determine what the cause is. Unfortunately it will be another three weeks before I can get into the doctor, so I guess until then I'll have to just wait and see what happens.

Hello, just giving my two cents. Although no one has ever died from smoking marijuana, there are somethings to consider. You can very well feel like you are allergic to marijuana if you smoke bad MJ. MJ is cultivated in many ways, by many people. None of which are regulate by the health department or anything. Some MJ has mold or insects in the MJ from being cultivated in an environment not suitable for it's best growing conditions. Thus creating MJ with white mold or spider mites. Which are microscopic and only detected with a trained eye and a microscope. This is why you should only use MJ for medical use only and purchase from a Medical Dispensing Collective that sells MJ that has been thoroughly inspected. Infect MJ could give you appearance of an allergic reaction. In any case seek professional medical attention.
