am I too young to shave down there? is there a right age to start shaving pubic hair?

That seems to be generational thing. It appears to be very popular with younger people and it horrifies older people. My wife refuses to shave. When she came home after our first baby I found her smoothness to be a huge turn-on which she liked. I even took on the roll of shaver for her because that turned me on too. She had no problems with the effects of shaving except in her head. She stopped it after a few weeks and I could not talk her into doing it even if I did it for her. She said it made her feel like a little girl so of course I asked if shaving her pits did too but she ignored that question.

I feel it should be a personal choice no matter your age. It certainly does not hurt anything and if you like it you should be allowed to do it. But she does have legal control over you until you are 18 so if you are smart you will try to work out a compromise. Maybe leaving a little in a spot where it doesn't bother you too much or where it will satisfy her and take her attention away form the whole shaving thing.

About the age thing. I think if you are going to shave you should start as soon as you begin to have any hair that you want to get rid of. Waiting until it's fully grown would seem to create those itchy scratchy problems people have while starting when it's just fuzzy should eliminate that. Do boys wait until they have a full beard? I don't think so, I didn't. Maybe you can use the "boys beard argument" but don't push it.

I sympathize with you because I think it should be up to you.

 

Hi Lucie, I also shaved on and off from about 13 to 16 but from then on I've been smooth, Like you, I'm not that keen on pubic hair, even my boyfriend shaves. There are no rules about what is the right age to shaving yourself or that you are too young to start doing it, I started young and it did me no harm and they'll always grow back, as sure as the sun comes up every day, personally I think your mother over reacted and as you said, it's no big deal, most girls seem to do pubic styling in one form or another these days. One thing my mother never let me wear though were g-strings at 14, so I think your mother isn't all bad

There is no age set in stone to start shaving your pubic hair.I would ask your mom if she ever tried shaving.

When i was 14,i finially made my First Holy Communion in the class of 2nd graders.My great aunt who is a cradle catholic told my mom that since i was in the class with the 7 year olds,my pubic hair should be removed so i would be even more like the little girls! That saturday night before,mom and great aunt shaved off my pubic hair and it felt weird! The next morning,i took my bath,then went into my room to be dressed in my first communion outfit.Mom had me sit back on my bed,applied baby powder to my hairless crotch,then put white rubberpants on me just like the little girls wore,followed by my camisole,lace socks,white mary janes,then my poofy communion dress and veil.All day long,i could feel the crotch of the rubberpants rubbing against my hairless crotch when i walked and it felt weird!

I don't think age is that important. I know many girls that start shaving as soon as they get pubic hair.

I started shaving my pubic hair when I was almost 12, I just grew pubic hair so much at that age before even puberty. I just felt uncomfortable walking around with it because it kind of itched and it didn't feel nice at school. So I have been doing it ever since, and my mom says there is no need for my age but I feel it's my body hair and it's my choice whether to keep or get rid of.

I had to wear rubberpants under my communion dress when i made my FHC at 15.My pubic hair was shaved off also and i could feel the rubberpants rubbing against my skin as well.

I was 14 when i did my First Holy Communion and my pubic hair was shaved off on the day before the ceremony.Mom put the required rubberpants on me and used babypowder on my skin before she put them on me.They fit me just a little bit loose,but i could still feel the plastic against my hairless crotch!

My parish requires rubberpants under both communion and confirmation dresses,so i had to wear them under my communion dress at 13 and again under my poofy white confirmation dress at 16.Both times my pubic hair was shaved off.

My sister is 14 and was just baptized two weeks ago on October 6,in the fall baptism class.Like all of the other girls baptized with her,we dressed her in the standard white,short sleeve,just below the knees baptism gown and matching bonnet with the lace anklets and white patent leather shoes. Her pubic hair was shaved off the saturday night before and after her bath sunday morning,she laid naked on her bed and mom and i rubbed her down with babypowder,then put rubberpants with babyprints on them,on her first,then her white tee shirt followed by her gown,bonnet,lace socks and the shoes.Our mom found the babyprint rubberpants in teen sizes on a website.Most of the girls had the white rubberpants on under their gowns,but mom and dad wanted sis to wear the babyprint ones.When she took them off at bedtime,she had a slight rash on her pubic area.

I am a girl,14,and still in puberty that is causing me to bedwet every night. Since my bedwetting started just past age 12,i have been wearing a cloth diaper and plastic pants to bed everynight.Last year when i started getting pubic hair,mom shaved it off so i wouldn't get bacteria in it,so now i am hairless all the time.I have had to wear my plastic pants without a diaper under my dresses for easter and christmas and they felt weird next to my skin!

I had to wear rubberpants and a tee shirt under my communion dress at 15 and my pubic hair was shaved off also.The rubberpants i wore were xl super size baby rubberpants and fit me snug.When i walked,i could feel the crotch of them rubbing against my hairless crotch!

Your mom did the right thing by putting rubberpants on you under your communion dress.She wanted to make you pure like the little girls.
