I have this problem during my menstrual cycle.  I've found a solution for this though.  Hibiclens.  It's a hospital grade anti bacterial soap.  No it's not like Dial anti bacterial.  It's better, kills on contact and keeps killing for up to 24 hours.  It's gentle and has a mild scent and can be used on a daily basis.  I've tried other anti bacterial stuff, it just didn't work.  Hibiclens is the way to go, works on normal body odor as well.  You can buy it at any pharmacy or Amazon.

hi i'm 23 years old and have a awful smell coming from my vagina  i think i'm i am overweight i have 230 pounds please i don't know if that is a contributing factor please help me

What is the scent like? Not to be gross. If it is fishy, it could be an infection and is worth being checked. If it is bread-like, it could be a yeast infection. If it is neither of these and just smells sweaty or jungle-y, it sounds like it might be sweat. People of different weights have it, but sure, if you have a bit more weight than you're used to, you may sweat more than you're used to. I think besides keeping clean and trim like usual, also try the advice of the girl above, who got a special cleanser: "To save myself the embarassment of saying my vagina sweats, I said it is my groin area. He perscribed me a deoderant called Hypercare solution. The directions are to wear it at night and then wash it off the next day, but it is really irritating and itchy. So instead I modify it, I take a shower in the morning, take a cotton ball and apply the solution to the outside of my vagina (dont get it inside or it will BURN!!) and all under my butt area (that is where you have a gland that causes the sweat/smell) and then i let it dry, brush my teeth, do my make up, whatever to waste time... Wear it about 45 mins. Then I get back in the shower and rinse it off with soap. It will last about 3 days doing that, then you just have to repeat every few days. It has made me feel the most normal in years, and is the only thing I have found to work. I just wish it was permanent. ". Best of luck, sweaty buddy!

I am familiar with this issue. I use a 'deodorant' called crystal fresh. I just rub it on the skin nearest to my thighs, all the way through to my buttocks and it keeps me odor free all day. I think most people misunderstood your issue, it's not a vaginal one, so douches etc aren't necessary. This issue is caused by the sweat glands in the groin, which are similar to those in the armpit.
Hope this all works out for you.

The moderator for whatever reason edited out the web addresses I included as reference to the products, so you can know where to buy them. I'm not exactly sure how I should proceed to guide you because the moderator will surely edit out the references if I include them again. So perhaps you should contact the moderator and ask them to be lenient. Thanks.

Try eating less spicy food like garlic and onion. Dink a lot of water, that will help the sweat be more watery and less strong. At 16 is sort of a normal thing doe to the hormone changes. Just keep it clean... Don't use any soap in the inside and drink prebiotic to promote good bacteria to grow. Good luck!

I love how you given us women a more natural approach to vaginal sweating. I will try this because I have since research the affects of chlorophyll and I'm pretty much sold on this advice. I'm an all natural person, from the things that I eat, cleaning products and beauty products. This is something that I'm really excited to try and I can't wait to see the outcome of it. Thanks so very much and best of luck to all women that may a different way of treating or combating this embarrassing issue.

I'm a guy and I have read your concerns. Trust me, there's two kinds of vaginal odor. The good kind and the bad kind. And there's two types of guys who go down on women to perform oral sex. One loves the smell if she is healthy down there and the other type of guy complains about the smell regardless, simply because they never liked the smell and never will. Those guys should just admit they like penis. Back to what I said. If you stink down there and can smell it when you're clothed, you have a problem and should see an ob gyn. If they can't help you, dump them and find another one. I dated numerous women with this problem and didnt stick around to find out if they got it fixed. They stunk like spoiled raw chicken. Rancid! One girl told me after we split up that her gyno got her an rx to clear it up. It was an infection of some sort. Good for her! Now for you girls who may be worried about a natural scent you have down there. A couple of you said you were afraid to have sex or date because of the shame. Here's the truth. All vaginas smell. Unless it stinks like rotten chicken, that "smell" I'm saying you all have, is the most erotic and wonderful scent in the world! Heterosexual males like myself go crazy for that smell. It makes us turned on and turned on to where we will do anything to get near it. I'm being totally serious. The sweat smell you're worried about are pheromones that turn on the normal males. The more my wife smells of this the more erotic it is. Don't be worried about a sweaty smell down there. Your supposed to have that scent. I have been with many many girls before my wife. Every single one has a scent and its usually strong in a FANTASTIC way! Some don't always smell strong but that's unusual and for me, it's not a turn on. So I hope this helps. Unless you smell rancid, meaning you smell like hot garbage, there's nothing wrong with you. Guys love the smell of p***y! No offense!

I saw this post and tried it. It worked IMMEDIATELY..... Ive been reading up on it since and some people say its a bad idea to use near genitals (my issue was more from sweating around the genital area so I don't put it in my genitals,)and some say they have been doing it for years with no side effects. Im a VERY clean person and for the last few years could not figure out how to solve this new problem in my life. I was horrified at best. Thank you for your suggestion. Ive read its good for armpit odor and foot odor as well. thankfully I don't have those issues. My genital area is bad enough... I don't need more areas to deal with but it may help someone who is reading this. Im thinking if its safe enough for Nurses and drs to wash their hands and arms with daily, as well as patients, then it can't be all that harmful. At this point I don't even care because I was slowly becoming a hermit after having to deal with this genital odor issue for the last couple of years. At least this way I can get out and feel "normal" again!

TRY THIS BEFORE WASTING YOUR TIME WITH OTHER SOLUTIONS. As someone who has been exhausting internet searches regularly for a solution for the past 3 years, I found it and here it is: 1. Get a prescription for HyperCare from a dermatologist. Pretty easy to get, say you sweat excessively and they will diagnose you with hyperhydrosis. 2. Order Odaban both the spray and the foot powder from amazon. They sell out of the UK mainly but there's a vendor in Texas that sells it too. 3. Buy Ultimate Flora probiotic capsules, take 2 a day. Take a quick shower and go for a swim in chlorinated water. You only need to do this monthly after the end of your period. Shower again and put the HyperCare on your vaginal mound once it's dry. Be sure to get it on the thigh crease and vaginal lips. Don't apply to hairless skin between lips. I only need to apply it about once a week. In the first week just do it every day. It will sting and be very uncomfortable but that passes in about 15 minutes and eventually you won't feel the sting. Take the odaban powder and apply after the hypercare with a makeup brush on both the mound and the inner hairless vaginal area, avoid getting it in your vaginal opening and anus. Use a different brush to apply to your buttcrack. The odaban spray is for the night, or whenever you don't shower. This will definitely work. Trust me, I've been struggling for years. I can now dip into my underwear at any time of the day and rub and sniff and smell what I used to smell like as a kid - just natural me!

Odaban! Relatively affordable and non-irritating. Good luck
