Believe it or not, my dog has got quite a tummy and I think that it looks like she needs to go on a bit of a diet! I feel quite sorry for the poor thing because she does love her food a lot, and she is a lazy little thing who doesn't like to run much. The poor dog is already getting on a bit... She is 13 years old now. Can anyone recommend quality diet dog food for my loyal companion?

At that age, I think it is important that your dog moves on to special foods for "elderly" dogs. Older dogs have different needs. You mention yourself that your dog is no longer active very much, and that she does not like to go outside anymore. The calorie intake needs to be adjusted to those needs as well as your dog now needing some different vitamins and minerals then before. I am sure that your dog will start to lose weight when you make this change.
