Hi my name is Irisa, i was born with only my left lung and my heart is on the right side and am now 23. I hope things are going well with you, she should be fine unless she has serious health problem, and a work of advice that I’ve learned many times the hard way if she ever shoes symptoms of a cold best thing to do is to go to the dr ASAP for I have almost died twice from Namonia but other than that I would worry just fine her pest ways to cope with it. Again hope things are going well for both of you and sorry for any misspelling. :)

I was just curious if they ever gave you a reason why your son was born like this? Like, does he have a syndrome or anything? My daughter was born with only her left lung as well & her heart on the right side of her chest. I would love to talk to you if you would not mind. Hi, I was born with a number of deformities including only one lung (my right lung did not develop). Until the age of 45 my life was fairly typical of a normal person except maybe I wouldn't try running a marathon! I did play badminton, go swimming and other light exercise. I am now 48 and struggling with my breathing. Although I'm still able to walk and do some very light exercise, my SP02 oxygen levels dip below 90 quite regularly which makes walking at pace or distance difficult. I have obviously never smoked but the doctors have suggested my life expectancy to be in the early 60s (Although I'm hoping to prove them wrong). Their rationale is that although I've lived a healthy lifestyle, all human organs deteriorate over time, and given I have had one lung for all my life it will deteriorate sooner that others who have two. Hope that makes sense. Anyway, the important thing to note here is that I have and will live a long and healthy life despite the abnormalities at birth. Good luck! and it has been helpful and a comfort to read this thread knowing I'm not alone x

I have lived most of my life not knowing the name of my condition too. I'm 48 now and started to research my condition. I was also born with Scoliosis, deaf in my left ear, missing ribs and few other silly things - the best I can gather is that it may be Goldenhar Syndrome? if you have any other suggestions please let me know

By now your will have given birth to your lovely baby. I was born with one lung, scoliosis, and a number of other deformities. I am 48 and have lived a primarily normal life, albeit unable to have children biologically. Hope things are going well for you and your little one.
