Look at what everyone is posting and observe. I don’t believe the doctors will be able to provide enough on this because they simply don’t know. Notice that these “freezes” only occur when drinking frozen ICED drinks. Not when drinking a cold glass of water or other fluids. Has anyone considered it’s the ice? What is the process and ingredients that go into making that ice so that it maintains its form for longer periods of time for people to consume? Toxic additives are added to products by companies often and never disclosed. I too experience pain in my kidneys when consuming any frozen beverage.

I literally googled this because I just felt what would only be described as a brain freeze in my back after drinking my slurpee and was worried because I’ve never felt that before

Hi, guest.

Brain freeze, also known as an ice cream headache or sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia, is a common but temporary sensation of pain or discomfort that occurs after consuming cold foods or beverages, such as slurpees or ice cream. It typically lasts for a few seconds to a minute. While brain freeze can be quite uncomfortable, it is generally harmless and not a cause for concern.

The exact cause of brain freeze is not completely understood, but it is believed to be triggered by the rapid cooling and subsequent dilation of blood vessels in the roof of the mouth or the back of the throat. This sudden change in temperature can stimulate pain receptors in the area, leading to the sensation of brain freeze.

To alleviate brain freeze or prevent it from occurring, you can try the following:

1. Slow down your consumption of cold foods or beverages. Taking smaller bites or sips and allowing them to warm up slightly in your mouth can help prevent the rapid temperature change that triggers brain freeze.

2. Warm up the roof of your mouth by pressing your tongue against it or drinking a warm beverage.

3. Gently pressing your thumb against the roof of your mouth can also provide relief by warming up the area.

4. If you experience brain freeze, you can try breathing through your nose to warm the air entering your mouth.

Best regards.
