just got this damn thing today and im pissed, i was not told how painful this is! Never would have allowed this if i would have known.
I just had this done Tues and I have pressure n discomfort in my chest and back esp when I eat so the first day I fasted. I don't know how this will record accurately if I can't eat. Is also giving me heart burn. I turn in the monitor today, I hope this stupid ph pill falls off already! Nice to feel I'm not alone.
This little ph pill is a nightmare! Since waking in recovery nothing but pain, indigestion, belching, heartburn, etc. I've NEVER felt this much ongoing pain and discomfort. In a year I will have had MAYBE 3-4 episodes of mild indigestion or burping for a few minutes. NOTHING LIKE WHAT THIS EVIL BRAVO PH PILL IS CAUSING, EVER.
HOW is this to provide accurate results when its causing the problems?!!!
I honestly feel like a Guinea pig.
Hello I had bravo capsule done on 8/11 exactly day 4 I felt the capsule move to my chest called Dr. who said I should give it 10 days, well after complaining about chest & arm pains, dry heeving, plum stuck in chest & throat hurting when standing & sitting up. Requested chest xray 3x finally on 8/25 recvd order to find out the obvious. Doctor call 5pm to say it's urgent we get this out and it was not my imagination. When asked why they took it lightly Dr. stated that in his 5 yrs they never had this happen. For this urgent matter I have surgery on 8/29. How long is recovery? What is a stress esophagus?
I had similar problems. I had the bravo placed in my esophagus on Friday Sept 30. It's Tuesday Oct 4th and I'm still having trouble. I wish I had looked it up an found out the possible complications. I might not have went through with it.
I'm hoping and praying that it dislodges and doesn't do any damage but I'm really concerned because I'm having quite a bit of chest pain that's definitely different than my normal stuff.
right? I guess the only diagnostic benefit would be the symptoms when lying down, but definitely not when eating. They also say to continue normal activities, but it´s kind of hard when you are in pain. I know you wrote this a year ago, and you probably won´t see this message, but if you do, how did the situation resolve for you? How long did it take for the pain to go away?
Hi, guest.
I presume you tried all of these:
1. Taking your prescribed pain medications as directed.
2. Applying cold compresses to the area, as needed.
3. Resting as much as possible and avoid strenuous activities.
4. Keeping the surgical site clean and dry.
5. Following any instructions provided by your doctor for wound care, such as changing bandages and applying ointment.
Can you describe your treatment regime?
