You're not pregnant. Next Choice works really well the sooner you take it. Those symptoms were just from the pill. It might also cause your period to be really late, but don't worry. If your tests are negative, you're fine. I also recommend getting a period tracker app on your phone or iPod. It really helps keep track of your periods and what days you could get pregnant (fertility window). Try not to worry too much and remember to be careful! All of us will remember that now. :)

Most likely you are all not pregnant.  Stop worrying and buying pregnancy test after pregnancy test – like I did too, wasting a lot of money.  Plan B makes you feel like you are pregnant – even if you've never been pregnant before, and have only heard or seen second hand all the symptoms and side effects.  Although it certainly has it's purpose and can affect everyone differently, there should be more information on what to expect after taking Plan B.  I woke up for weeks afterward with very large, tender, sensitive breasts and nipples – caused by the Plan B pill, not pregnancy.  And, a over month and few weeks later, a horrible period with cramps like I've never had before, as if my entire uterine lining had shed and sloughed off.  Wish I hadn't taken the Plan B, but did, like everyone else – just to be safe.  Not knowing, and then going through hell with the hormone overdose.  Even weight gain and bloating like I've never had in my life.  Now I do believe how much hormones can really wreak havoc on a woman's body.  It took a few months before things were back to "normal" afterward.  So, if anyone out there is curious on what it is like to be pregnant – just take Plan B and you'll know!  I would not advise this at all, and especially not twice within 6 months, as I've read some took Plan B repeatedly – and can only imagine the side effects being way worse.  Hope this helps someone or at least makes you laugh!  :)

it seems alot of doctors will tell you how long/severe the pill affects you depends on YOUR individual hormones when you take the pill, which is why some women have no side effects while others are bloating/breasts sore/every symptom imaginable 2 months after. it just depends on the individual.

also found this short post by a girl named"Alexis" if it helps anyone...

i had the same exact side effects as you 2 months after and everything so i took a pregnancy test and i was not pregnant, so i talked to a doctor about it. and they told me the side effects depend on your hormonal levels! i have taken Next Choce three times already (i know thats bad) but this last time is when i got all these side effects like swelling aroud my belly and spotting and tendereness around my breast and vomiting and days where i felt very dizzy like i was going to faint so this really scared me! and i do not take any birth control pills or any hormone pills at all so i thought for sure i was pregnant! but anyways just dont freak out take a pregnancy est if neccesary but i dont think your pregnant because your hole story is mine to the tee! and im not! so just calm down so you dont freak out! and remeber with any pill for this, your side effects are going to be based n your hormonal levels! you should be ok! i had these side effects for two months then by my third period everything was back to normal! just visit a doctor if you have to! and lkike they told me......now becareful =)

I know what ppl are saying about it just being side effects of the pill but I can't quit worrying either.  I thought he had a low sperm count due to testicular injury in past so unprotected sex wasn't really a concern, I didn't worry about it.  But then I remembered I was ovulating day and he ejaculated inside me & (sorry, probably TMI) but it was alot and it was way up there all the way inside me so I thought maybe I better go morning after pill.   What I have read is that the pill won't work if the sperm already fertilized the egg.   Sex Thurs night about 3AM, pills Fri Morning, now it is 8-9 days after sex & none since then.  I have felt like vomitting all day, sipping ginger ale & chicken broth.  I feel bloated like a whale.  Also horrible headache & I am not a headache person, never get them unless I have the flu....which is about the best way to describe how I feel at the moment.  I'm scared I might be effed on this one, no pun intended.  I feel like if I eat anything or smell anything, my stomach contents are gonna be out.  Mommy of 2....and this feels like pregnancy.   I bought a 3-pack of preg tests, took 2 so far...both negative.  I have the 3rd test & will wait a few more days.  OMG....I can't handle this anxiety of waiting for my period.

Im sure you are fine because the same month I took it I was experiencing the same thing. I took like a million tests lol but all negative. I got my period at the end of the month. But I am really freaking out cuz I have the same side effects exactly 2 months later... I am late on my period now with a negative test... Im so confused... Dont know if haveing my period twice the first month has anything to do with this??????

Ah! I am so happy to have found this and found other people having the same issues I am. The only difference between my situation and others is the fact that I missed 4 pills in the first week of my birth control pack, and the condom broke during intercourse. When I looked at my period tracker, I realized if by chance I were to ovulate this month (which honestly, probably didn't happen because I also have PCOS and generally if I don't take birth control, I don't have a period at all because I don't ovulate) it would have been that weekend. I took Plan B One Step within 12 hours of the deed and the next day I continued taking my birth control as usual. Earlier this week on Monday (about a week after Plan B) I had a little bit of pink spotting but it could have been from intercourse the night before that was a little rougher than usual. I'm expecting my period this weekend but I'm going to give it a few extra days due to the fact that Plan B can sometimes delay your period and I haven't seen much information about it taken with birth control pills. Hopefully all this talk about people starting their period a few days after taking Plan B is because they're not on birth control thus there aren't extra hormones to keep it at bay.

Regardless of the outcome, I am bookmarking this forum so I can report back and tell you all how it went :] For tonight, however, I'm going to at least sleep well being a little less worried and stressed about this waiting game.. because I legitimately think I'm making all these symptoms "happen" because I'm thinking and worrying about it so much. Haha, I should know better by now than to stress about it and make myself sick over it but I never do. Typical girl thing.

I started my period today so that means Plan B worked and made me start only a day later than I was originally supposed to when coming off of Yaz! I will definitely say don't be too worried if you're having "early pregnancy" symptoms because for me they were just very amplified versions of what I normally get during regular PMS. My breasts hurt for a week and a half and swelled up half a cup size before being completely back to normal yesterday. That was my number one sign that I was going to start my period.

I also noticed that I was less paranoid yesterday and a little more emotionally stable so if you're feeling extra nervous and freaking out about being pregnant, that could honestly be the hormones in Plan B, too.

Here is my story... my bf and I had sex on feb 13 around the time i thought i might be ovulating and after finishing discovered the condom had broke. This was the first time this ever happened so I of course freaked out and we drove immediately to get plan b one step. I felt fine and started spotting a week later and continued having light brown spotting until i had period blood for about two days a few days earlier than my expected period. Its now 3.5 wks since the incident and I am feeling anxious/paranoid. I keep saying its all in my head (backache, nausea, constipation). Its refreshing to see others having symptoms 3-4 weeks later. I have yet to take a test because I am optmistic but will be sure to update.

Anxious,

Like I said, I really think the hormone changes in your body make you feel paranoid or nervous, or a little "off" in the way you think. For instance, my cousin normally feels paranoid when she starts a normal period. She told me that when she had taken Plan B, it amplified. It seriously amplifies everything.

If you had bleeding within 3 weeks of taking Plan B, there's nothing to worry about.
