Can Wellbutrin help with getting off opiates?

How fast did you taper down on suboxone? I cold turkeyed a 8mg dose a year ago amd am still so depressed and anxious from doing so. I was on 24mg but wanted to get down lower. I use it for pain, and I wish I never did. The PAWS gets me everytime. Ive also been weaning off gabapentin and that doesn't help either. I just want to be free from these toxic meds. I can't really work out due to a messed up back surgery and can't work which I know would help the depression. Im wondering if going cold turkey from 16mg of subutex would be bad? I'm guessing yes, but I'm sick of prolonging it. Im also scared how will I treat my pain when off. Thank you

I decided to finally come off of suboxen, i jumped off at 2mg a day. I was on subs for over 5 years and i knew it was going to be a long withdrawal. This was my decision and i had no encouragement from my doctor to get off. Even after 8 weeks im still quite depressed and have very little energy. My new therapist prescribed wellbutrin today and im hoping it will help. If anyone is thinking about trying suboxen be warned, the post withdrawal stuff last forever and this is why people stay on it for years even decades
