I am 35 yrs old and had a myomectomy surgery this year in January. I had 9 fibroids removed. My cycle was irregular and I had a period more than 20 days in a month. I thank God for giving me the strength to go through with the surgery. My husband and I have been trying to conceive since April. It's hard, but with God everything is possible. He shall direction our path. To all the women that are feeling stress, trust me I know how you are feeling. keep your Faith in God he knows what is best for you. Be bless my sisters!

These posts have been extremely helpful! I first want to thank you all for sharing your posts. They have helped me get through some very dark times. I’d like to share my story with you all:

Hubby (38) and I (32) have been trying to conceive since Sept. 2016. In May 2017 I was totally frustrated and went to the OBGYN for an appt. I got a call the next day stating that I was pregnant! I was completely excited and couldn’t believe it! About one week later, I started to have extreme cramping and bleeding, I went back to the OBGYN and my hcg levels were low and dropping. I opted to have a natural miscarriage and it took about 2 months for me to finally take a test and it said not pregnant. I had an HSG and tubes etc. were all clear. I then had a scan and my OB stated that I had 2 fibroids, one was in the wall of my uterus and pushed up against the implantation site of my uterus which could have caused my first miscarriage at 6 weeks. I opted for a myomectomy asap. After being on metformin and othe rmeds for months, I was diagnosed with PCOS and continued meds per the OB. I don’t have diabetes and have lost 25 pounds since taking the metformin for 3 months so I was feeling great around the time of my myomectomy. I had the procedure November 2017 and have been told to wait 3 months before trying. He removed one golf ball size fibroid behind my uterus and an orange sized fibroid from teh side of my uterus (in the muscle). My hubby and I are counting the days as you can imagine! February 2017 can’t get here fast enough! We are ready to start our family and have been so distraught over our loss in May. I will keep you all posted on progress! My uterus and scars are healing very well per the MD so we are just taking it easy.

Hello. We're you able to get pregnant? I had a myo last year and I'm now trying to conceive at 38. I'm so scared that I won't be able to conceive. :(

You have no idea how happy I am for you right now after reading your story. I have tears, tears of joy my dear. You are so strong to go through all that. It is good you have a supportive partner to work with through it all. My faith has just been made strong after reading this. I am 26 and had my myomectomy on the 15th of March 2018. I had 17 fibroids removed with the biggest being 21cm. My fiance left me a month after we found at in 2017. I felt all hope was lost especially when my wedding gown was sitting in my room the entire time through my heart healing process. I still went ahead to have it done anyway. I did it to have children of my own someday. Your story is very inspiring. Wish you all the very best.

Thank you for this comment. Though I am not the author, I also had a myo last year. And am afraid I will not conceive, but I am holding on to my faith. At times I've felt like giving up, but then I feel that God didn't bring me this far for nothing. And I carry on. Again thank you for your reply.
