Hi to all myomectomy ladies.
I had 2 fibroids removed, the 1st was interuterine and 7cm big, not on a stem like most, but stuck like half an orange on the wall of my uterus.
6 months after having that blighter removed I found I had another huge fibroid in excess of 15cm, squashing my uterus up against my tubes.
I had a myomectomy just over 2 years ago, my uterus wall was patched up with skin from my bowel.
I managed to fall pregnant in November last year but miscarried at 7 weeks. More than likely due to the masses of scar tissue. Pretty certain I'm pregnant again, will know for sure in 3 days time. I anticipate I'll miscarry, my uterus has simply been through too much. But we shall keep trying!

Hi to all! I've had an abdominal myomectomy done on January 10th, 2009. I had four uterine fibroids plus I was diagnosed as having PCOS! It is now almost 9wks Post OP and my doctor said that I should start trying to conceive. My recommendation to you all who have been trying to get pregnant after this operation is to buy the red rasberry tea leaves (it's a herb) and drink it three times a day as a tea. It is said to tone and condition your uterus in preparation of pregnancy. I also juice Cabbage and Beets and Celery together. They are very good in preventing inflammation and are great antioxidants enriched vegies. This will be my third menstruating cycle since the operation and my period last only 3-4 days now with no clots and heavy bleeding! I try not to stress because this can also interfere with your hormones causing you not to get pregnant. So take it easy! use this healing time to strengthen your body so that it is fully prepared to when YOU DO get pregnant. :-)
I am 36 and am four months pregnant. Five years ago I had a major myomectomy to remove a melon-sized tumour from the back of my uterus. The doctors said they could not predict my fertility afterwards as they had never seen a tumour like mine, but wanted to give me the best chance they could. And here I am!
I am very worried about uterine rupture in the third trimester, which can be catastrophic - and they do not want me to go into labour - but I will try to find out more and seek reassurance from specialists if possible.
So if I can do it, hopefully anyone can!

I had a myomectomy 9/08 for a fibroid that caused a m/c at 10 weeks. I am now 14 weeks preg. I got preg in Jan09, after trying for two months. IT is possible. have faith and take LP (lydia pinham)
I had a myomectomy May 08, I am still trying to conceive although I did not stress myself on this. The only concern that I have is the forbriod recurrent and I am 33. I have been trying 3 months after my post surgery. I am patiently waiting for all these months but nothing is happening to me yet. What should I do?
Pregnancy is possible after having a fibroid removed. Anything is possible with God.
I had a fibroid removed in March 2009 and I am now 13 weeks and 2 days pregnant. Mine was only about 4-5". I had also been diagnosed with PCOS about 12-13 years ago, as well as a dilated tube and told I wasn't ovulated regularly. All I can say is God is able. I am 32 years old and this is our first child.
I really can't say if the fibroid is what was preventing me from getting pregnant. I really think it was in God's will and timing so he allowed it to happen. My husband and I have been married for 5 years and I never got pregnant.

I had a myomectomy preformed at the end of this last April. I just took a home pregnacy test this past Sunday and "Hello!" I'm pregnat. My question to all you who have been pregnant after this surgeries is: Do you have alot of incsional cramping?? I called a doctor but won't be in there for about two weeks. My incsion cramps alot and I had some spotting. I also understand that I could be having a misscarraige, but I hope not.
hallo
I am scheduled for a saline sonogram to determine the nature of my fibroids. has anybody had a saline sonogram ? was it painful? reason why i am asking is because i had a HSG two weeks ago and it was one of the worst pains i have ever had %-)

Hi - The Hysterosonogram that you are talking about is not that painful at all. It is far less painful than the Hysterosalpingogram. I recently just had two Hysterosonograms (with Saline). I had one in October to check out my fibroids. The doctor determined that I needed surgery, so I had an abdominal myomectomy on October 23, 2009. The surgery went well and I am healing nicely. I just had another Hysterosonogram a couple of days ago to see if I had any scar tissue from the surgery (and to check that the fibroids haven't started growing back). Everything looked good, so now we can start "trying" to get pregnant again in January! I hope it works!!
Well ladies there is hope as long as you continue to have faith in GOD. Im 25 years old, had a myomectomy in may of 2008. I was recently diagnosed with pcos, insulin resistant, currently taking metformin, was not ovulating cause my progesterone was too low. My ob put me on a cycle of femara and had me testing my progesterone every month. Well guess what i found out i was pregnant very early. Didnt even have one normal period(periods were coming every 24 days) found out i was prego when i went to the ER thinking that i just had a bad case of premenstrual cramps, nope i was pregnant. YAY! im so excited cause i felt like i went through alot just to get where im at. Im currently 6 weeks prego as of today 11/21/09. Havent had my first prenatal appt, that will be on dec 3, wish me luck ladies, i hope everything is ok! Oh and dont be alarmed about the cramping which i still have every now and then. My ob said its very normal in early pregnancy and can last for several weeks. Irritating but nothing that a little tylenol cant help. Any comments or questions feel free to ask or tell.
well...i had a myomectomy 2 yrs ago. I've been off the pill every since and am still trying to conceive--very frustating because i didn't think it would take this long at all-my doctor is wonderful & supportive but at this point i have serious concerns that the surgery may prevent me from conceiving -- bio clock is ticking...
Hi, I just had a myomectomy this past may and have had some of the same concerns. My doctor told me I shouldn't have any problems conceiving and she is a wonderful doctor! She pulled me thru my pregnancy which was a painfull journey as I had a 3 1/2 lb 10" fibroid growing on top of my uterus the from the end of the 2nd trimester but I pulled thru and am hoping to have more children. Are any of you still experiencing numbness and tingling down there cause it's driving me insane!! I'm hoping that scar tissue won't be an issue with me either then again we're not trying just yet I'm 27 years old and am looking forward to bringing some siblings home for our 1st child. God be with us and with all of you
I had a myomectomy July 3rd, 2009.
My husband and I had been married less than a year.
The doctor gave us the go ahead to start trying in November and I just found out 2 days ago that I am pregnant!
I am shocked and very pleased that it happened so quickly.
I really was not confident that this would happen, because of my age. I am 42 and my husband is 48.
This will be the first baby for both of us.

I am due to have my abdominal myomectomy in a couple of months time. Although i know that this is something I have to undergo, I am petrified. I cant tell you how helpful reading abt all of your experiences has been for me, and my husband and also for my parents too. Many thanks. All the best to every woman out there who is in a similar position.
Hi,
I'm 21 and I was diagnosed with uterine fibroids in the ER about a week ago.. I was having severe abdominal pain, and could barely tollerate it... So They did a CT scan and there they were... My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for several months now, and no luck... I didn't know anything about uterine fibroids until I looked them up via the internet... And I got really scared... According to my scans I have one fibroid about 1.5" and several small ones.... Now I'm thinking maybe this is the reason we haven't been able to get pregnant... I have a doctors appt tuesday and I'm scared out of my mind... I'm 21 and scared I'll never be able to have children which is extemely depressing...reading all these post gives me a little hope...but I'm still scared... :'(
