Hi, how did you get it healed?
Ive been having the same problems. It’s feels like i have flames inside my chest i can’t even drink water. But all this stemmed from the antibiotics i had to be on which i read kills even all the food bacteria from your GI tracts which makes it so the valve doesn’t close like you said. I’m currently fasting with water and cold pressed juices till it goes away. And taking probiotics. I hope it helps!

Hi, guest.

The symptoms you describe, such as chest pain when eating, feeling food stuck in the mid-chest, difficulty burping, and throat pain, could be indicative of various conditions related to the esophagus and gastrointestinal tract. Some potential causes may include:

1. Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): GERD is a condition where stomach acid flows back into the esophagus, causing irritation and inflammation. This can lead to symptoms like heartburn, chest pain, regurgitation, and difficulty swallowing.

2. Esophageal Stricture: An esophageal stricture is a narrowing of the esophagus, which can be caused by repeated acid reflux or other factors. It can result in the sensation of food getting stuck in the chest and difficulty swallowing.

3. Esophageal Spasm: Esophageal spasms are abnormal contractions of the muscles in the esophagus, which can cause chest pain, difficulty swallowing, and the feeling of food being stuck.

4. Hiatal Hernia: A hiatal hernia occurs when a part of the stomach pushes up through the diaphragm into the chest cavity. This can lead to GERD-like symptoms and chest discomfort.

5. Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE): EoE is an allergic condition that causes inflammation in the esophagus, leading to symptoms similar to GERD, including difficulty swallowing and chest pain.

It's crucial to seek medical attention promptly to receive a proper evaluation and diagnosis. A healthcare professional will likely perform a physical examination, take a detailed medical history, and may recommend further tests, such as endoscopy, to visualize the esophagus and assess its condition. Once a diagnosis is established, appropriate treatment can be prescribed to manage the underlying issue.

In the meantime, it may be helpful for you to make some lifestyle adjustments to minimize symptoms:

- Avoid large meals and eat smaller, more frequent meals.
- Avoid lying down immediately after eating.
- Elevate the head of your bed to reduce nighttime reflux.
- Identify and avoid trigger foods that worsen your symptoms (common triggers include caffeine, spicy foods, citrus fruits, and fatty foods).
- Consider keeping a food diary to track symptoms and identify potential triggers.
