Hey, I have exactly the same symptoms and have had a ct skan which has come back clear now being sent to a gastroentologist as no one knows what to do. Have you had any luck with it?

Hello-- this being an extended time since your inquiry, I still felt compelled to write. I too had all these symptoms for years. Mine seemed to progress over time and became unbearable. After a 4 year bout with severity and 14 Specialists later, I concluded I would continue doing research along with finding a competent Physician who would actually give a dam. I was diagnosed finally with a Intestinal Intussuseption. Rare for adults-- however many underlying reasons to develop. I finally went to a young Physician wanting to do a Manomety Study and yes, a (second) Defeocography. Low and behold, surgery was implemented with 7 iches of slack in my colon removed. Common easy procedure. Do not listen to Dr's telling you it is stress, not enough fiber or water, IBS-- oh please! IBS is a precursor of symptoms DUE TO an underlying problem. Do not take drugs-- find the solution with searching for a smart Physician who will DO all the tests required. Stay persistent. There are so many things that cause intestinal havoc, but it takes a clear minded patient and Dr to find the issues behind the pain, and if not FIRE them and seek another. Also, get blood tests for allergen and tests for Celiac and any other condition which could cause abdominal pain. Anotjer cause could be Ileocecal Valve disruption, extremely common for stomach pain and is remedied with massage and diet. I wish you luck!

To the OP Ursa Arctos36653: I don't know if you are still dealing with this issue but unlike a few of the responses, I've been dealing with this since I was at least 7. I'm now 33 and it's never subsided. If I eat then stand or walk, I will experience severely nauseating stomach pain that increasingly worsens until I sit down. Like the OP, it only resulted in actual vomiting once when I was 13 as I now just make sure I sit before it gets to this point (the one time this happened I only ate half a single serve bag of peanut m&m's within a 13-14 hour span to get sick...I thought keeping food fare light would help bypass the issue...no go). Nowadays, if I know I'm going to be standing or walking for an extended period of time, I make sure to eat a plain breakfast of about 1/3 cup cooked steel cut oats and plenty of water at least 2 1/2 hours before the active standing begins. This will typically keep me sated for the day until dinner esp if I take small sips of water throughout the day. If I want to eat dinner successfully after a day like this, I have to sit for about an hour or two first before my stomach is back to "normal" and I even think about eating. It should be noted, I have: IBS, a lactose intolerance, a gluten sensitivity, colorectal issues and other undiagnosed gastrointestinal issues. I'm still unsure after all these years if there is a correlation but I see many of us here have these and other accompanying issues. In general, my diet is mostly plant based with me only eating meat on the rare occasion. I have noted that heavy proteins (ex. The peanut m&m's or meat) or anything too complex to digest may make things worse when standing. Perhaps this is also related to blood flow? I don't know. I'm no closer to figuring this out then I was 15 years ago. Hopefully some of the information about my experience is helpful though.

I am 42 and am seeing a bariatric Dr and he told me that whn you eat your stomach expands which causes it to press against your ribs and it's filled with food, fluids and even gas and any activity while it is expanded when you stand will cause pain and it will not ease until you sit awhile and allow your stomach to decrease the swelling/expansion. He said it does not effect everyone because stomach placement in our bodies has a lot to do with how long your torso is, rib placement due to being short, etc. Hope this helps cuz it so makes sense nw! He gave me some gas pills and it's helped about 75%

You all need to look up Wilkie Syndrome and CEliac artery Compression syndrome!!
Basically the squashed arteries (or squashed duodenum) stop blood flow to your stomach stopping it from working properly. A normal gp doesn't know about it so you have to see a vascular surgeon! Please look it up. It mainly affects young slim women/girls. Especially those with a deep curve bottom of the spine. Please check it out!!

Does anyone have any answers?
I have the same story but a little more complicated. This started 7 years ago. When going for an ERCP 6 years ago, I had a pancreatitis attack. I was hospitalized for three weeks. It ended up I was born with annular pancreas. Which means by pancreas was under and wrapped around my duodenum. Many months of tube feeding and etc.. I had a pancreas by pass. For months after operation the pain remained . They told me that my body had to get use to the new path. Finally it stopped. Then two years later the pain came back. If I ate anything about 15 minutes and I am in pain on right side and lower back. When moving the pain is so bad I can't even stand up straight. If I don't move and lay down or sit still it is just a dull pain. After many doctors and test I was put on gamapenton. Which is a nerve relaxer. It worked for 8 months. Now it is back again. I am still on medicine but it has no effect. I go for an upper scop and colonoscopy tomorrow. I know they are going to come back with labeling it IBS? Which I know it isn't. If anyone has answers out there please let me know!

I don't know where you got your information from about IBS being a parasite infestation but that is not accurate I have had IBS for almost 20 years and it has NOTHING to do with parasites it's caused by inflammation in the intestines and bowl that causes the intestines to spasm

I think you have a blockage somewhere that is either in your colon or something pushing on your colon, like a cyst or tumour. You need to get in to see a doctor!

Yes! Celiac artery compression syndrome or Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome match all of these symptoms! I have it as well as gastroparesis. Fiber will only make symptoms if gastroparesis worse.
