I had something similar to your child. I had bouts of coughing, losing my voice for a couple days and feeling breathless. These bouts happened for months at a time. At times I would vomit and I had a feeling like too much oxygen was in my lungs, causing coughing, eyes to water and nose run. I was sick once in a while but the majority of the time, it was just a bad cough. Eventualy, after countless doctor visits, I ended up in the ER, neck swollen and a high fever (103+ for 5 days). After years of coughing and sore throats, it was my tonsils. Antibiotics, a hospital stay, and an inhaler for bronchitis. I still get occasional sore.throats but I haven't had.any more problems with.coughing or feeling breathless.

I have had the same constant coughing and feeling as though I can't breath..also something feels like it's stuck in my throat. NOT PNEUMONIA! I was diagnosed with post nasal drip and asthma and prescribed a puffer and Nasonex. This is a very good combo and will help you so much. As the weather changes, you will feel it come on much worse but use the things I told you about and you won't regret it! I have four kids..half of which suffer the same and they too have post nasal drip. Easy solution and I hope you all feel better as this has been a constant thorn in my side my whole life and I am now 38.

Maybe it is an allergy to a feather pillow or blanket. That is exactly what it sounds like!!

In this case, i would say she is asthmatic. I have a step brother that had all the same sypmtoms. They started around age 4. It took them awhile but it was definitely ashthma. You should see a respritory specialist chk the child out and ASAP. Weezing is not the only symptom of asthma. Good luck. It was tough on us....he coughed and puked everywhere. I feel for you. However he eventually grew out of it and played football in highschool

I have had a cough and throat irritation for weeks. Last night I literally scratched my throat with my finger nail and there was a hair caught in a crevice in my tonsil! It was a long fibre from this fluffy blanket we have. Anyway I woke up today with absolutely no symptoms! It might be a good idea to check for tonsil stones too, they can cause similar symptoms.

Look at Retropharangeal abscess.  It can be caused by many types of infections.  If you have thrush frequently and a white tongue, take a hard look at the part on Syphilis.

Try hot tea with honey or vitamin C tablets,or try gargling with warm salt water a couple times a day or before going to bed. Hope this helps.

You need to see an ENT consultant, who could use a flexible camera to go through your nose and look at your throat. This what I had done and the consultant said I had a sliding hiatus hernia which causing the lump or feeling of something in the throat. A prescription for Omepraloz will cure the problem, which I didn't think would sort it out but it did.
