I am a 56 year woman. Had sinus problems for many years. Often had mucus go down throat to stomach. Not a problem. Often took steroids, mucodyne to think mucus and antibiotics. Then a month ago I had some raw garlic
and had a terrible stomach ache that went on and on for a week. A few days later I took the mucodyne as I had many times before with no problem and got another severe stomach ache that went on and on and has been there ever since getting worse.

Doctor number one said ulcer and gave me suitable meds for that. Felt better for a few days but the medicine gave me awful migraine and worse stomach so had to stop taking it.

Doctot two noted that I was feeling the urge to go to the loo a lot more and said this means it is a urinary infection.
I did keep telling her that I had only had that symptom since taking the initial medication and never had it before -
and it is listed as a side effect - but she would not listen. She gave me an antibacterial for the infection. Which I am taking.

Doctor three said it is acid reflux. None of them listened or saw any significance in the fact I have had sinus problems for years or took the garlic and mucodyne just before it starte.

My stomach is in agony a month later, I also feel sick, bad taste, no other symptoms.

I have been looking online to different things it can be with my hair standing on end in horror at some of the things.
Pancreatitis sounds terrible. I live on my own and hve no family so I have no support.

Would be good to hear from anyone who can relate to any of this please.

This might help??

Hi guys, a friend of mine was extremely sick for a very long time. I read on here that people were experiencing some vomiting and what not. Well what happened with her was she could not hold anything down in her stomach. Diddnt matter what she ate, she threw it back up. It went on for about a year. It first happened when she got back from Mexico. They thought she just caught a bug. They never really did find out what was wrong with her, but she is all better now thank goodness. BUT, what the doctors said it might have been was the hairs in her stomach that carry the food down, were flat against her stomach instead of sticking out, so the body would keep rejecting it since it couldnt properly travel. I thought id say it just incase its able to help at least one person out. Im going to ask her again what exactly what it was, but im 99.9% sure thats what it was. I came here looking for answers myself actually. I am suffering just like everyone on here. I am 19 years old, been nauseas since November. Its now August and it keeps getting worse. Persistent nausea, fatigue, joint pains, mostly my knees, but always feel like im going to throw up. And just like you all, ive been to gastros, berium swallows, xrays, doctors, specialists, blood work, everything just about. I have since been addicted to the Ginger Chewable Gravols. Im sure that plays a big role in it now because its having a rebound effect. In the ten months, I have taken over 1,700 gravols. No, thats not a typo. Thats one thousand, seven hundred. Its getting really hard for me to live anymore. My will is almost gone. I am 5'11,  19 year old who know weighs 112lbs. Ive lost over 35lbs from not being able to eat cause of this nausea. I dont know how you guys and gals have lasted so long like this. I dont think I will want to live past January if its like this. I think I will end up ending it if I dont find any answers. It is awful. These are supposed to be some of the best times of my life at this age. Hanging out with friends, going to school, traveling, partying, living. But I cant. Ive lost many friends because I havent been able to hang out with them and im too aftraid to hang out with any because im scared that im going to be too sick. I hate this. Sorry for venting, I just needed to get it out somewhere. I dont like to talk about it because I dont like people thinking that im a complainer and a whiner.  My doctor wont send me for any more tests. ALSO, I did read up on a diagnosis called "Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome (MALS), and it says alot of, if not all of the symptoms most/all of you are experiencing. They said its usually looked at/diagnosed after every test comes back negative/positive (whichever one means you dont have it). Not many people seem to have it, seeing as ive asked many doctors and specialists and theyve never heard of it. I would say to look it up and research it. I think that might be of some help. Im am going to try a new doctor to see if he/she will help send me for some tests for it if there are any, although I rarely experience pains (thank goodness and knock on wood), and thats usually one of the main symptoms. It basically just feels like ive got the worst flu and then I went out drinking the night before and woke up with an awful hangover and flu at the same time. Anyways, I hope this has helped. Thank you all for your stories. Its nice to feel like im not alone in this scary and horrible journey, even tho I wish I was alone cause I never want anyone to suffer like this. Thank you again.  Stay strong, I hope it all works out. Please, please let me know if you ever find out whats going on. I would be forever greatful. Thank you. Nick.

May I asksomething ask something to everyone in here?  Have u guys ever related this to your home. I was a perfect person health wise until I moved in to a 1965 home that I remodeled.  Soon after this I started to get sick lightheaded, stomach problems, joint pain, bowel movement was not consistant.  Went to many doctors and they could not pin point anything.  This is where this turn bad.  My daughter and son and wife started to experience similar symptoms.  So I did my own investigation anddid an air sample of the house.  The air was of course full of fine dust and particles mayly gypsum from old dry way this was damaging our lungs and wedidn't even know it.  My pulmonologist told me that the lungs don't have nerves so u won't feel anything but instead other symptoms may arise if your lungs are being damaged.  Some are the ones I mentioned above, joint pain stomach problems light headed because the lungs are being irritated by the material in the air so I put one and one together and found theanswer .  Soon I moved out of the house but thesymptoms still linger after 1 year.  They have gotten better but not all the way as I use too.  Please pay attention to thosearound u and those who love with you if hey are having similar symptoms.

I have been having the same problem to. it all started on march 11 2013 my 16th b-day. over the weekend i was feeling a little weird and i didnt know what it was but i still went to school Monday morning. it only took 30 minutes for me to go to the bathroom and puke. for the first 3 weeks i was bed ridden and throwing up a few days out of the week. finally i was able to go back to school but not before having to take lot of allergy meds that would really only suppress the feeling. it is now my 17th b-day and i still feel the same way. i have tried many thing and gone to the doctors many times but none have given me a solution or even a guess as to what this may be. if anyone sees this and has the same problem or even a solution please post a reply.

Hello,

I am 15 years old and have been suffering with this exact problem since February 14th. I have no idea what is causing this but I can remember the first symptom that ended up becoming the most beautiful start to something vile; shivering in the warmth. I ended up going to bed early that day to awake with pressure in between my ribcage. This week I have started to get hot flushes which ends up disturbing my sleep a lot. It is felt more on my abdomen. At the moment I am on Cyclizine Hydrochloride to prevent vomiting. I have no idea what this is actually doing to me as it likes to increase the ugly sensation. I have got acid reflux, if that helps? Something that links up there? I wonder if there is a possibility of having an infection inside of the stomach and noting that the only thing I taste at the moment is acid/bile. That probably would have made quite a bit of sense, especially after the many symptoms I have. I am on a diet of Gaviscon, Cyclizine and Andrews salts. None of them had managed to give me full relief. I am feeling really desperate at the moment to find out the cause of this sickness... especially when there's iron supplements you're supposed to be taking. Oh well...I hope everyone who is experiencing this gets better soon.

Goodbye.

(Sorry if I did not make much sense there, blurred vision)

Im a 15 year old female and i've had this nausea problem for 4 months now and it ceases to dissapear. I've had numerous blood tests, urine tests, stoll tests, breath tests, ultrasounds, you name it! I can barely get up for school without feeling nauseas anymore and this year is crutial for me. I've had multiple doctors appointments and they've pinned it down to hormonal, picking up a water bug called 'Gardier' in Ireland or my gall bladder has something wrong. I've had lots of different perscription and nothing works. it only dulls the reflux but doesnt stop the nausea. I just want to have a n life!!

I'm going through the same this right now as well. It has been over a month almost 2 but I can't remember when it really started. I have also had all those tests done and currently on a waiting list for a scope. I'm only 16 and this makes it very hard to do the stuff I love like ride my horse and hang out with friends most days I don't even want to go to school. What should I do. I'm so tired of always feeling sick and no one has a clue how to help me. If you know anything please let me know

I have same symptoms everyones talking about in this post but I also have problems with my head feeling flu like and occasional migraine headaches.  I am currently taking 25mg of Amitriptylin that seems to calm my stomach just a tiny bit and they have me on 200mg of Topiramate for 1 more month to see if it helps at all.  I don't think it is.  There guess is I am having some sort of Basiler disturbances (basiler- I guess is at the base of your brain at the spinal cord?) I have good days and then I'll have bad days.  Being sick for a year, depression and these funky medicines has left my personality little to be desired.

I had sinus surgery in December 2014 and since I've been nauseus almost every day. 4-6 times I've woken in the middle of the night and can't even keep water down I'm so sick. I went to ER once to get an iv to get rehydrated. I'm guessing it is from my sinuses being swollen and clogged from after surgery but an unsure. I was given chemotherapy pills call zofran to help with the nausea and it did wonders until this morning. It no longer works to full potential. I have an appt with a gastrologist this week.

i also have been suffering from constant nausea since august 2014. i had to quit my job working at subway from the smells that randomly starting affecting me from working. ever since the day i put in my two weeks, i have had nausea every day. today is april, 22, 2015. a couple short months from reaching a year of feeling this way. i went to the doctor about a month after quitting my job & my doctor said it was stress & i needed to find a way to relieve my stress. so, after months of trying to find a way to reliecve this so called "stress" i went back into the doctors & they said something about having a acid reflex. they put my on medication to help reduce all the acid my stomach was reducing. after about a month of taking the perscription i wasn't feeling any better. they also gave me these nausea pills that also didn't seem to help my constant feeling of nausea. shortly after all of that, i had gotten my badger care taken away so healthcare was very hard to come by. i haven't seen a doctor since about october. i feel like i have been feeling a lot worse since august & deal with constant, gas, dizziness, hot and cold flashes, nausea, diarrhea, gagging, sweating of the hands, stomach bloating & droziness. recently, in the last month, i have had to carry a plastic grocery bag with me every where i go because of the constant urge of puking. my sleeping schedule is very inconvenient. i do have insomia which leads me to go to sleep very late & i normally don't wake up until later hours in the afternoon but shortly (hours) after i wake up i feel like i haven't slept in days and feel really lazy and unmotivated. these last couple months i have slept more than a newborn baby. it's really scary, honestly. anyways, i feel the worst after i eat or drink something. there was a couple instances where after drinking a can of soda i threw up. throughout all these months of suffering from nausea i have tried drinking lots of water & changing my diet. my nausea has been holding me back from doing normal things i used to enjoy such as shopping and gonig on adventure walks. i don't think stress is causing all of this. i am pretty confident that isn't what it is. i have tried numerous things to help relieve the nausea such as nausea pills, a heating pad, sleeping, eating, drinking water. when i leave my house is when i feel the worst & that's when i sweat in the hands, shake, and get really nauseated. it doesn't help that i have a overactive gag reflex either. i constantly dry heave which doesn't make the nausea any better. there's weeks where i look like i am five months pregnant from the stomach bloating. (no, i am not pregnant.) but on that note, sex is very painful which is why i tend to stay away from causing more of a problem for my body. tomorrow, i will be going to the doctor, i am very nervous to find out, if i do this time, to figure out what has been causing this. i am crossing my fingers. i am so sick of feeling this way. i am sorry to anyone on this posts, commenting deal with this or something similar. sick of being sent off from the doctors being told it's from stress. reading some of these comments most of your symptoms that relate to mine are from gallbladder problems. i am praying to god i figure this out. i wanna be my old self again & not be so attached to my bed. hoping tomorrow i will be on a new start. praying. ~

I posted about 5 or 6 months ago that I had all the symptoms that a lot of you all were descibing and I was taking Amitriptylin and Topiramate perscribed by my neuroligist.  She said that it sounded like some sort of Basiler migraine issue (Basiler is at the base of the brain). At that time I said I didn't think it was helping and I was skeptical.  I stuck with her and I want everyone to know that my symptoms are gone completely.  I have no more nausea, no more headaches and no more flu like feelings.  I did get very sick from the Topiramate at the 200mg mark, but when I backed down to the 100mg mark with 25mg of Amitriptylin I am symptom free.  She told me that it could take up to a year for the medicines to kick in, it took six months for me to feel better.  I highly recommemd anyone who has had these symptoms and has had all the gastric test that you can possibly think of and found nothing, consider a trip to a neuroligist and discuss the possibility of Basiler migraines. Its worth a shot.  I hope this helps someone
