My son was having breathing problems.  He said that if felt like he just couldn't take a breath

that was deep enough.  They gave him an inhaler which didn't help.  They gave him acid reflux medicine

which made it worst.  They finally said that it was anxiety.  I searched the internet and found that

a vitamin b12 deficiency can cause anemia.  I started giving him b12 and he is much better.

It seems to have worked.  I asked the Pharmacist and said the acid reflux medicines that reduce

your production of stomach acid can cause b12 deficiency or make it worse.  Hope this helps someone.

I have been getting these since I was 6. I'm 16 now and its at the point where if I don't take one of these breaths for 15 minutes I begin to feel dizzy and sometimes faint. When I went to the doctor he said it was no big deal  :-@ but its VERY uncomfortable and annoying

I have been having this issue for several months. I get waves of stress so I tend to feel its stress. I started to think perhaps its due to a small heart murmur that I have. For me, its like having to do deep inhalations leading to a yawn. When I feel them coming on I can usually hold it back and it goes away. It freaks me out a lot, I am on bp meds and meds for adult ADD. I know stress always effects differently at times, I used to get eye twitches and now its this deep inhale and yawn and its annoying.

I'm a 41 yr old female and I'm having my 2nd episode of this.  The first time after several day i went to see my doctor who sent me to get a CT scan to rule out blood clots.  Nothing showed so he put me on 500mg naproxen twice a day for a week.  Within a few days I my breathing was back to normal.  Now 4 months later i'm having another episode , going on 4 days like this and it's driving me nuts.  Funny thing is both times it was brought by a migraine.  I told my Dr about it the 1st time and  I don't think he gave it much thought, now it's happened again.  I know when I have a migraine i tend to breath different, almost like lamaze breathing because of the pain.  Just when i'm about at my wits end then I think i'm feeling better.  I've been on the naproxen now 3 days and still no change.

I am 19 and Ive been having this problem since I was 16. However, it goes away for me and then a couple months later it comes back. I take yawn so I feel like I have a breath. I've had my lungs looks at an ekg, and my doctor put me on steroids and even gave me an inhaler but it seems to always be returning especially when its time to go to sleep

Have you ever had your thyroid checked? Hyperthyroid symptoms are very similar to what you are experiencing, weight loss, anxiety, etc. and it is frequently misdiagnosed as anxiety. Testing for thyroid disorders is only a blood test for TSH, T4 and T3. If you haven't had those tests yet, I would suggest it.

I have believed that mine is anxiety..i think the yawning comes in waves, but mostly, it is chest pain and tightness...even radiating into my left arm...sometimes i have trouble sleeping because i am shaking (barely), or i feel as if my heart is beating fast, and it scares me even more..its like im scared sometimes, and dont even know why...i have been told i have post traumatic stress, due to something that happened 3 years ago... :( that is when my pains began again...they first started when i was 6, but i dont remember them coming back until age 25.. :(
