I had mine out 5 days ago and I haven't really gone but a little today I bought mirlAx and stool softener how long does it take to get back on track and also the bandages when do they fall off?
Thank you! This is the first response that makes sense to me for how I've been feeling. It's been one year since I had my taken out and I feel/look worse now than I did before.
Thank you for your observations and empirical experience. I used an ox bile supplement immediately after surgery, and had no problems until I ran out. Now I am forming stones in the colon, and I am having to literally pull them out of my anus with my finger because they are forming diverticulosis right behind the opening of the anus, pushing against the vagina. They are definitely stones that are exactly like the gall stones that my surgeon gave me after the surgery. Huge stones. These post surgery stones are equally huge. I am going to reorder ox bile capsules, but I am thinking glycerine suppositories might help more than high fiber, because my diet is very good. The stones are like very dense clay that sucks all the moisture out of the mucous membranes in the colon. So they are sticky and there is not lubrication to facilitate movement. They are stuck like concrete.
Me too allreading all of this scares me because your told only about watery stools-watch what you eat. But I'm scared to take some of these things.I had a hemicolectomy in 03 which made all of my problems worse-in the end I have no right colon-why who knows the doc just di dit without telling my husband. Ever sinc eI have had constipation problems. Then these attacks so they took our my GB Tuesday. I did'nt take any of that pain meds bec. it does'nt do anything Tylenol is what I took. I am at a loss what to do. I have taken stool softeners- etc. So I have a new problem. I am scared to start any of what I have read here.
Can you tell me what brand your probiotic is from Coscto?
Did you take the probiotic and th carrot juice with olive oil every day and for how long? Do you still take it periodically - how often?
Can you take miralax 5 days after having gallbladder out?
Wow! Thanks a lot. You gave lots of valuable information!
Gall bladder removed five days ago. Was prescribed stool softeners and hydrocodone (which causes constipation). Pain was bad, doc advised adding Advil, so I did.
Had my first bowel movement this morning. It was like undergoing a Herculean quest to get anything to pass (abdominal muscles are still sore from the surgery), and though it was tiny, at least something finally made it through my system.
There are far too many different suggestions here to know what will work for me. I'm just hoping I'm able to go back to a normal diet and regular bowel movements, and not become one of the "lifers".

That was extremely helpful. Thank you so much!
Thank you for your wealth of info!! I have always suffered from constipation. My mom assured me that after gallbladder surgery, I wouldn't have that issue because she doesn't. She was so wrong!
This advice was invaluable. It was intelligent and it made good sense and I very much needed to hear these things and in this way. Thank you so very much!
Did it ever go away
Wow. Thanks for the info
