Thank you so much for your response!! I've been suffering on and off for about 5 years!! I'm just beginning a new journey with probiotics and digestive enzymes with ox bile in it. I've tried so many different avenues and have gotten nowhere! I'm very health conscious and very active but lately I've been becoming so constipated that I'm not feeling well at all! I have very little energy and I'm hoping the digestive enzymes will help in more than 1 way! Thank you again!!!!!

My gallbladder was removed 2 days ago. I suffered with constipation prior to the surgery and was not given any prep. I've been nauseous and have regergetated constantly some my surgery, due, in part to my inability to have normal movements. This is the best information I've received. You've given much more insight than any physician I've seen.

When one ingests these "liver cleanse" items, they do not pass through the liver. They do not flush through the liver. The liver makes bile 24/7, routinely, not in response to anything we eat. Without a gallbladder, that bile trickles steadily into the small intestine. Ingested items, such as these acids and salts, can collect in the body over long periods of time, but not overnight. The production of histamines changes over time, too, and one may develop allergies or stop having allergies. This may be coincidental, as there is no automatic relationship between histamine production and bile production.

Try using rectal suppositories. Insert and retain for at least 30 minutes. This is for short-term relief while you get your system balanced. Most Mds do not know anything about diets, nutrition or treating problems without using drugs. Get an appointment with a good doctor of nutrition (ND) or naturopath.

Glad you posted for me to find. I am a retired ICU RN and didn't have a clue, other than the trial and error of the last 1 1/2 yrs.. Thank you for taking your precious time (giving to me, time, what an awesome present) to share such detailed analysis. Blessings to you and yours. Namaste! T

Thank you. My step sister has been having this problem for years after her GB removal. (she's only 28) Now I remember that her father had to take enzymes because he wasn't breaking down meat properly. Every other post I read people complained of diarrhea. Her doctor just keeps telling her to take laxatives and eat more fiber and it doesn't work. Sometimes I think since they discharged her from the military, they are just shinning her on because they don't want to deal with it. Or maybe they don't know. Doctors don't seem to know as much across the board anymore. When I was a kid we saw one doctor who treated us for mostly everything. Otherwise he sent us to the hospital. Now it seems you have to go to 3 different docs, pay 3 copays just to get a generic response. I'll ask her to check into what you outlined. THANKS AGAIN!
