I want to emphasize that the cookie diet is not a fad! it has been around a long time and it's a common sense thing. Eat fewer calories = lose weight. I lost 70 lbs total 2 yrs ago and have kept it off. Yes, it was 20 lbs/month at first, then 15/mo and leveled off at 10-15 each month. I did get stuck for abut 6 months and just couldn't motivate myself into going back on the cookies. Then, I found a suggestion in one of the forums and tried it. don't know if it will work for everyone (nothing works for everyone) but this is what I did... I went on Atkins, took a couple of days to get into ketosis then started the cookies. Cookies during the day and an Atkins friendly dinner and BAM the weight started to come off again and I lost my last 20 in no time. I used the R&D Diet Cookies and was able to stay in ketosis. I'm not sure the other brands are Atkins-friendly. he cookies sure do taste good when you are on Atkins! :-D

Thanks for your input Rosie45. It's nice to hear from someone who admits their diet plan isn't "easy" and that you had to work at it. weight loss is never going to be "easy"... I will settle for "do-able". Congratulations on your success. I've been thinking about trying the cookie diet because I am a binge eater. I will try the ones you recommended.

I will admit it too! I lost 40 lbs using the R&D Diet Cookies last year. It took me 4 months. The first 2 months I lost 30 lbs and it took 2 months for me to lose my last 10. The first 30 were pretty easy but I really worked at those last 10! The thing I liked about the cookies is that they made sticking through that "stuck" period do-able if not down-right pleasant. I was never hungry so I didn't get frustrated enough to go off the diet. It paid off and I finally proved I was more stubborn than my fat! :-D
