A lot of you sound like symptoms i had. I had a cough for about 2-3 months before i saw a Doctor. Never get coughs or chest infections but this cough was getting ridiculous. I was coughing so much and so hard my chest would ache and i felt at times i could not catch my breath. I knew something wasnt right. The Dr ordered a chest xray and some bloods. Chest xray came back clear. Bloods however, showed i had Whooping cough! Dose of antiobiotics and a couple of weeks later, no more cough. I'm 40 and a smoker so you can only imagine i was thinking the worst but i bet there are 1000's of people out there who have whooping cough and are being told its allergies or a virus. Get some blood tests done just to rule things out..

all this is great i have this hacking coughing once in awhile my doc told me i have acid reflux sometime i sound like im hacking up a lung and constantly spiting so much i puke and massive amounts of saliva will come out so i did some research lots and baking soda and warm water drink it it stops it and warm water and applecider vinager, both work well ,i also found out that taking probiotics helps to i have rea that taking acid reflex pills can cause heath problems down the road its best to try not to take them both i might have found a cure for it just have not purchased it yet its called baseline nutritions its a stomach colon detoxer and something else its targets the small intestine which has every thing to do with your acid reflux ...
It's probably pertussis, or the whooping cough. I had it for about 8-10 weeks a couple years ago and one time I was in a walmart or some other shopping centre I had a coughing fit and eventually just kept vomiting saliva and such and swallowing it til the point I couldn't stop it and threw up on the floor. I just went and got my friend and left lol poor clean up guy
Omg I'm the same age as you and also non smoker and having the same symptoms. ...Cough for a month now and vomiting mucus when coughing really hard..

I do this often during the night!! My has been determined to be from anxiety that irritates my IBS.
Over the years i have had a dry hacking cough which lasted for a few weeks and then went, but late September caught a cold and started to cough,cough,cough for weeks. I have been to the Doctors and now may have asthma, i am off for another appointment today to see if it might be GERD after i am coughing up clear saliva when feeling sick. Take Care.

I think Saliva and (bulgum from cough) are two different things. Need Doctors advice, if Saliva can be taken in and bulgum must be thrown out. Will saliva help improve
