Ive also have this and I scratched and burned like crazy.so bad that I left a rash and red markings looked like a diaper rash. Thinking it was this n that...I went and After going to doctor and coming back with no positive findings I did a few google searches. I came across a pix that looked like what was going on with me.. to my suprise it was jock itch... yes we can get this too .. like another lady said in an earlier post she used something that was for athletes foot n jock itch. So I googled woman with jock itch and treated it as if. Its also a fungus so I treated it with one dose of diflucan and the rash with lamisil jock itch creme.. in two days I was not itchin no more and the rash is gone... its been two months and nothing!! I see where ppl have said it comes back well im two months out now, and feeling great... I hope it works for yall!!!

I am having the same problem and happy I found this post. I will be going to the doctor this time as I have been suffering for three years with this. It comes and goes which is why I have been able to put up with it for so long. Last night it started again so I took a mirror and looked. What I saw was not good. Bright red crack about 3 inches long! So red it looked like it could burst right open and bleed any moment. Scary! Since in ran along the inner fold where no air really gets I think it is likely fungal. Pure virgin coconut oil has worked wonders getting rid of it, but that is just a temporary fix. :(

Wow.  Like many others, I am relieved this is not such an uncommon problem.  I have had this issue on and off for a couple of years (think it may have been a result of body chemistry between my boyfriend I began dating around that time and I) and comes and goes.  I notice that when I am really diligent about getting up and peeing after sex instead of waiting several hours I go for longer periods without this problem.  Also, I tried a really perfumey laundry soap not too long ago and bam, problems showed up right away.  My problem is pain though, not so much itching.  I am so uncomfortable I can barely wipe after I pee.

I also have this problem and I was looking up the my symptoms and came across vulvitis. It seems to match up with my problems if anyone wants to check that out.

I have this same problem. It started about a year ago and I never know when or why it happens. I have been with the same person for over 6 years now (with complete faith in them). I just can't understand why this happens. I have only had one yeast infection (that I know of), and at first I didn't think there was a connection, but the itching sensation does make sense. It is irritating and embarassing. I do appreciate your responses in this post! I know I'm not alone and that I am going to the pharmacy ASAP because I am tired of dealing with this. Hopefully, some medicine will make it better, although I wish there was a way to get rid of it for good!

You are on point. I have this exact same issue but it only began when my sugars went over 200. I am sure it is yeast overgrowth due to refined sugars and an overall unhealthy diet. Thank you for the straight forward solution.

If you have not already spoken with your mother about your problem, I would highly encourage you to talk to her. The condition/phenomenon is likely hereditary/hormonal. As such, she has probably dealt with the same condition too and should be able to advise you.

On the off chance that, God forbid, you have suffered sexual abuse as a child, you should definitely talk with your mother so she can take you to see the appropriate healthcare and legal professionals.

Try coconut oil. It is a fantastic moisturizer and lubricant and kills bacteria. It helps on scarred skin. I have used it on operation sites and the results were very good.It can be used as a lubricant for intercourse. You can use it to moisturize hands face vagina etc, even if you have no problems at all. Plus it smells and tastes good.Use it internally and externally. It comes as a solid ( looks a bit like lard ) but melts on your fingers.

i had same problem. My thyroid was operating very slow and it affected my skin. I had dermatitis in several spots along with swollen eyelids and a very dry scalp and this slit on labia lips. The doctor prescribed steroid cream which helped but it kept happening. Another doctor told me to use Vaseline and that is what cured it. In the last nine years whenever I feel the soreness I use Vaseline. GET YOUR THRYOID LEVEL TESTED. Dry skin is a symptom of a slow THRYOID. Try Vaseline and get your thryoid level tested.

I just read an article which said that jock itch can be passed to you from a sexual partner, which would explain why Zeabsorb works for you.

Everyone is a carrier of the HPV virus. It isn't an STD LIKE PEOPLE THINK, it's just bacteria

I have had difficulty with chapped skin in the folds of my labia off and on for years....like so many of you have posted. I often use zinc oxide in diaper ointments which seems to help quite a bit. It keeps me from going threw the roof when I urinate and seems to speed up the healing. I also take hot baths which is quite soothing. It is very important to keep your self dry. After I bath I dry thoroughly with a cool hair dryer before getting dressed. I tend to wear tight jeans and know this is my biggest culprit. Also, it is extremely important to rinse your vaginal area thoroughly if you use vaginal cleansers while bathing.

Hi ladies.
I too have had yhe most terrible life changing time the past two years!
I had major bowel surgery and 8 weeks after had my first intimate encounter with my partner and was left with a really painful split and bruising. I went to sti clinic and got tested for herpes which came back as hsv2.
This was the most devastaying news i had ever had.
After every sexual encounter whether it be foreplay or intercourse i would tear and become sore every time or even around the time if my menstrual cycle.
I was out on suppressive therepy for 18mths which i am still on but these tears or oaper cuts in exactly the same place are getting worse. I only have to slightly pull the areawhich is between my vagina and my bobitt and i twar and bleed then it looks really sore with a whiter area around it till it heals again.
I feel like a vicious circle! Im in dispair! Ive always thought it was something else and now i read about "Lichen Sclerosus" I need to find out more and get some positive help through a specialist. Help!!!!!
