cyst on the eyeball

My son had the same thing and he had it drained i would like to know if the red blood-clot gone or you still have it.Thanks

I had a cyst lanced a good few years ago and it took at least three weeks for the blood to disappear from my eye. It has now returned so I am going to have to go through it all again

I just got one on these also in the past few days. what's going on Is there a common thread. how many of us use their cell or iPads at night. I wonder. mine is like a clear gel lump. I thought was mucus and true to get it out but realized by here beasts hard bubble that felt like a lens,

My eye doctor told me to use artificial tear 3 to 4 times a day. come back in a month and he will drain or may have to be removed. I thought that would be the end of it, but after reading these posts, now I am not so sure

I had the same problem for about 4 years. There was a cyst on my eyeball and I was told by the opthamologist to use artificial tears and wear sunglasses. Well, that didn't help. Just last week somebody told me about Cod Liver Oil and how it improves eye health. It comes in small capsules and you can buy it at Walgreens for about $6. I bought it and tried it and my cyst was completely gone by day two! It is the most amazing feeling being rid of that unsightly bump! If you have this eye condition, you should try the cod liver oil capsules. My eyes are even whiter too and I have bad allergies so that isn't to achieve. Well, I hope that helps. I will probably be taking this supplement forever but it is worth it to me.

hello everyone, I don't post comments on Forum often but I feel like if there's more people out there like me a germaphobe about their eyes in other parts of their body then this was useful information for me to share. And I don't understand wine the doctors says they can't do anything about it. so a few days ago I noticed a jelly like substance on my eyeball while I was at work.this substance kind of made my eyeball get dry or should I say feel dry and kind of irritated like something was in it. so I went home to look in the mirror closely at it and it was some type of clear substance that was attached to my eyes discolored one side of my eyeball like a brownish red color. Now I must say the week before when I was cutting grass I got poison ivy in my eye that turned into a stye in both eyes so I start treating the stye and then this substance appears. so I was going out of town the same day I found this substance I went over to my sisters house and she had some eye drops for eye infection that she was getting the doctor prescribed her and I showed her this jelly substance in my eye. So she said try some of this stuff maybe this stuff might work for your eyes. so the first day I put two drops in my eye and it had a little sting to it at first but the sting quickly went away. then later that night I put another drop before I went to bed I got up that morning about mid morning and put another drop in all in all inside of three days this jelly like substance has went away I'm still using the drops for an extra day or so just to make sure I get all of it but I just wanted to share this information because I've been getting a lot of understanding through reading on the internet there's nothing anyone can do about it other than surgery or some drastic measures like that. Personally I think this is ridiculous to have a medication that doctors don't know about that will take care of this irritating problem... it's also very upsetting to me that I have to go pay this Dr all this money and come back for recheck up just to tell me he don't know or to make me spend a lot of money on surgery. So I'm thinking, if this medication work for me it seem like its a minor problem. here is the medication name.... Coprofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution, USP.. 0.3%.....Akorn.

My son was born with it too! I just seen an eye doctor today as well it doesn't bother him and his vision is perfect she told me to bring him back in 6 months unless it gets bigger

Poor thing may God heal you by the blood of Jesus. I too suffer the same goo in both eyes. It can be very annoying at times but was told it is a hereditary thing commonly found in Hispanic and people of native American decent. My mother was Hispanic. Use shades when needed. Bright light tends to irritate the situation as well as certain eye drops. Clear eye and Murrine make that grainy sand like feeling in my eyes I've learned to avoid both. When the irritation is persistent I apply ice to my eyes and use eyewash to sooth. I hope something i said helps. Pray in Jesus name by His stripes your eye be healed believing in Faith and it will be done.

I just left the eye doc. I too was told it was conjunctivitis cysts and my doc said it is better to leave it alone and heal by itself. If you were to drain or cut into it, she said it could do more harm than good as it would open your eye up to possible infection. She suggested that I could try an anti inflammatory and/or frequent use of saline drops. I know it's annoying, but after seeing doctors who just like to throw any and all meds at you, it was refreshing to find one who honestly tells you that meds are unnecessary.

I discovered a large clear "jelly-like" ball on the white of my eye 2 weeks ago. I am blind in the other eye so I saw my surgeon immediately. He said it was a cyst and normally he'd do surgery, but because I'm blind in the other eye he wanted me to think about it. (and use regular eye drops meanwhile).
Yesterday the thing grew HUGE. I tried to sleep and I couldn't even close my eye. I finally fell to sleep and woke this morning to find the thing completely GONE! It burst in my sleep and drained away. Can't wait till Monday to call the dr and ask what he thinks now. :-) (I used Natural Tears ALOT) not sure if that did anything.

Just had two removed . Uncomfortable after surgery but will be worth it if they do not come back. I tried steroids but they did not get rid of them. My opthamologist was not willing to pop them because he said they would just fill back up. Eye very irritated right now but should clear up - it has been 48 hours since surgery and I am using antibiotic drops, steroid drops and ointment daily.

Just has surgery to remove one on Friday. Didn't feel a thing. 2 days later eye is red and only a little discomfort.

Hi I developed a cyst on the white of my eyeball. Had it lanced at the eye clinic but it just came straight back. They eye clinic would not lance it again as they said it would come back bigger next time and they said it would "probably" resolve eventually on it's own. So I have started using using Viscotears for about 2 weeks and Ibrupofen for 1 week and it is now finally going. I think the key to getting rid of a cyst is to stop it being irritated by your eyelid, so use plenty of Viscotears and an anti inflammatory. I have had mine for a total of 7 weeks so it does take time to go.

I've had a cyst on my eyeball for several months. It looks like 3 little bubbles on my eyeball. I went to the eye doctor and was told they'd give me a prescription for a gel that has a steroid in it. It works as long as I use it, but as soon as I stopped it after the original 2 weeks, it just filled right up again. I'm on my third little tube now, and they told me I could just use it every day. So that's what I've been doing, and I can see it's pretty well flattened out, but I'm afraid to stop because when I do, after a few days it sticks out so far it drives me nuts every time I blink. Yet I worry about how safe it is to keep using it, as I've used it since May mid-April, and it is now October. They don't seem to think it's a big deal at the eye doctor's, but anything to do with my eyes is a big deal to me!

I saw my opthologist today. He told me that I have three conjunctival cysts in the corner of my eye, on the white part. I don't understand how they can be drained or surgically removed. Every time you touch one of them it moves around my eye, sort of splits apart.
