Hi there, my name is Mike. I have CF and I am 55 years of age.. My older sister had CF as well, however, she passed away at the age of 32. I have even served in the Us Army, of course there were many factors in trying to get in and I needed to prove to myself that CF did not control me and that I had to control the CF for me to succeed with what I want to do in life.. Of course as I get older it is getting much worse. I am very blessed and will never complain about my health regardless of what comes my way. I even have Colon Cancer and I have had multiple surgeries. So needless to say my life is filled with a multitude medications and therapy. What gets me through each day is my faith in the LORD.. There are so many stories that I would love to share with people and their loved ones dealing with CF. I have learned that each person with CF much be treated differently even though I understand every CF physician and clinic has their protocol. There is not a day that goes by where I wish I was not born with CF, however, I have it and that has made me who I am.
What to expect, health wise, as cystic fibrosis patient gets older?
